On May 4, 1970 (just a few days shy of 50 years ago), 4 unarmed protesting students at Kent State University were shot dead by the Ohio National Guard.
Now, 50 years later people are protesting what they consider the dictatorial, unbearable “stay at home” declarations being imposed by governors.
Unlike May 4, 1970, these current protesters are very well-armed and they have walked into the State Capitol building practically unhindered.
Is being told to “stay at home” such a horrendous, barbaric law to endure?
It’s hard to believe that in 50 years, we have gone from killing unarmed protesters to practically escorting heavily-armed protesters into government buildings!!! :mad:
The fight continues. There’s a petition in the works to recall the governor. It needs at least 1M signatures, i.e. ~10% of the state’s population, within sixty days.

And frankly, I don’t care if it is legal. It was still terrorism, because they were trying to use an implied threat to terrorize the governor and the legislature to do what they wanted.
You think so? I don’t. I think they were carrying guns because they’re weak and need something to make them feel strong. Much like a little boy carrying a favourite stuffed toy around.
But I could be wrong, so next time someone storms a state legislature dressed like what they imagine a soldier looks like I think they should be assumed to be terrorists. As per GOP spec, they should be captured and tortured and their families murdered. This is what Trump promised to do with terrorists and it’s clear he knows what he’s talking about.
