Fucking Prude Republican Fuckheads Should Be Shot

Not all Republicans, mind you, just the fucking stupid fuckheads. They’re usually quite easy to identify, fortunately.

So this John Kerry/Hanoi Jane shit is stupid. Painfully so, given the timeline issue. I thought I’d have at least a full day to get annoyed about it. Turns out I’m wrong, because the big news tomorrow or shortly thereafter will be about an affair Kerry allegedly had a couple of years ago.

We can, as usual, thank Matt Drudge for breaking this ‘story.’ Its relevance to anything? Clearly none. Kerry isn’t accused of breaking any laws or of having anyone killed? Does that matter? No. At least during the Clinton impeachment, the right-wing morons involved had the smarts to pretend the issue at hand was perjury. And Clinton did break the law, but the matter was an excuse to try and scandalize the nation over a blowjob.

No such luck here. “He can’t be President, he [allegedly] cheated on his wife!” goes the cry. Nevermind the issues, nevermind the outcry when it was revealed in 2000 that Bush had a DUI on his record, nevermind Iraq or anything else. As one numbskull on another site put it, quoting Truman, “A man who will cheat on his wife will cheat on his country.” Bringing to mind anti-Americans like FDR and JFK.

But I’m getting off-topic. Fuck them. A major thanks to John Kerry if he did something this dumb, but mostly, fuck them. When did “politics makes strange bedfellows,” turn into “politics is all about what you’re doing in bed?” Fuck this stupid Puritan horseshit. People cheat on their spouses. It’s unfortunate and maybe I can even be pushed to say it’s wrong, but it’s more important than a guy’s qualifications to be President, or his ideas? FUCK. Dumbass uptight Christian freaks ought to be reamed by a gigantic diamondtooth chainsaw.

I know what comes next, of course. Someone telling me I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m not, although maybe I’m a bit surprised at the barefaced hypocrisy. Only a bit, though. Mostly I’m just pissed. These are the same uptight morons who remove evolution from textbooks and think god has personally selected them for his next important mission.

Yeah, I’m engaging in some stereotyping. But that’s unfortunately where the brunt of this phony “I’m scandalized!” bullshit comes from- the Inquisitionist Ashcroft/Rush/Robertson/Limbaugh wannabees of this country. (Nevermind the list of very prominent religious kooks who’ve been caught cheating on their wives.) A very small group of fanatical morons who make America look like the land of morons in the eyes of the world. I’m trying to think of a good reason we shouldn’t start throwing these idiots to the lions again. Not Christians in general, just these idiots. Joe Lieberman, were he still running for the nomination, would probably also have a suitably dumb comment (just to name one).

Wouldn’t it be great if we found out tomorrow that W cheated on Laura? It’d be fun to hear the same people cry foul.

Larry Flynt, you out there? You said you were looking for information on Republicans who cheated… if you’ve got it, this might be the time to publish it…

Ends justify the means. That’s what the US now stands for, isn’t it?

Oh chill, Dude. You’re just pissed because the horse you’re putting your money on in the upcoming race acquired a little mud. There’ll be plenty mud for everybody by November.

That’s true, of course. But on the other hand, the reaction is just stupid, and that’s probably half of what annoyed me. Especially considering we have no idea if this is true or not.

Time to calm down, dude, before someone mistakes you for Howard Dean.

Heck, I’ve seen Deaniacs on other sites who were quite gleeful about this revelation, so don’t be so sure that “Dumbass uptight Christian freaks” are the ones who are going to hype this. I know that if I were in charge of Bush’s campaign, I’d be waiting until I was totally sure who the Democratic nominee is going to be. It doesn’t help Bush to push Kerry out only to have John Edwards take the lead.

So…I hear Canada’s nice this time of year, if a bit cold…

Watch it, pal. Do you want to take this outside?

Or do you want to take it to California and Texas and New York and South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan and then to Washington DC!! YAAAAAAAAARGH!

And I guess if I can nitpick - which I can  - I’d say that if Dean are happy, it’s because it’ll help their candidate. I’m sure the people I’m talking about feel the same way, but also playing a prominent role is the sense of finger-wagging moral outrage that many of them seem to get off on.

Look on the bright side, Marley23; if this allegation fizzles out – and I strongly suspect it will, especially since Kerry flatly denied it on Don Imus the other night – it will be a shining example of how unreliable and clueless Republican shitheads like Matt Drudge are.

Sure, you can worry about Kerry’s rep. You can worry about stupid republicans.
There is all kinds of stuff to worry about and there will be more before November.

Just keep in mind that one, bright, shining fact about Kerry that will inevitably propel him into the White House. The thing that no one can smear or take away no matter what he has done or might do. That beacon in the giant morass created by the current administration - he’s not Bush.

I very much hope a potentially superior president to GWB doesn’t lose out because people give a shit about a personal mistake of 2 years ago. I really hope American voters aren’t stupid enough to ignore the man’s ability as a president and vote against him based on this.

Infidelity is not condoneable, but it should be irrelivant in choosing a competent leader for a country. Infidelity does not effect competence.

I hope you’re right.

I am not even American and I very much hope the democrats win the next election.

I’m honestly surprised that stories like this get printed any more. It’s obvious that nobody here cares about politicians private lives, at least for major offices. I mean, every time a new scandal about Clinton broke out, his approval ratings always increased. Look at Giuliani, got rid of all the smut in New York City, only to turn around and leave his wife for his mistress. Now maybe in New York he got a lot of flack for having a mistress, but in the news, or on S&L, and so on, the only complaints I heard people make about him having a mistress had more to do with his hypocrisy, than with having a mistress.

Clinton confessed to an extra-marital affair before he was elected President. And even during the impeachment proceedings, his popularity remained quite high.

There are not many leaders who can throw stones without their colleagues wanting them to hush for fear of exposure themselves.

Don’t leave Ike off of the list. He had an affair during WWII. And even the Reagans would not have passed careful far right scrutiny since their oldest child was conceived before marriage.

Just because it makes a racket on the news doesn’t mean that people let it influence their voting. I’m beginning to wonder what does.

Exactly true. Whoever gets the Dems’ nomination will basically have to continue to not be Bush until November, and as long as he’s not caught on camera beating up a nun, he’ll probably sail in.

I’ve never in my life been a party-line voter, or registered to a political party at all; I’ve voted for Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians, depending on the office and the candidates. But this November I’m making a fucking beeline for the Democrat.

Do you like Scotch?

“Inevitably” is an awfully strong word.

Holy crap, it feels great watching you guys self-destruct at the mere mention of a scandal.

Jesus the shit is flying early isn’t it. Is this is a payback for the military record story that is currently all over the news. Think they are setting the tone for the coming months. This country is fucked if you have to be a goddamn saint because there just ain’t any around.

I think your imagination is working overtime. But feel free to masturbate all over the screen anyway. “Oh yes, my fantasies coming true! Oh yes! Oh Yes!!” etc.

You seem to have put some thought into it. Disturbing, to say the least.
