:rolleyes: Yet again, another example of how people are trying to find ways to be offended. In the realm of humorous commercials; I’m the one who should be offended the most… I’m a middle aged white husband. My demographic is the most maligned group in all of commercialdom.
You got that right. White men are morons. Idiots. People who can’t do a damn thing.
The punch line to Every commercial. If anyone would listen, we’d have a reason to gripe. But nobody would listen… And even more important I have a sense of humor, so I can laugh at a commercial, even if you might find it offensive. Why waste time being offended? It’s pointless.
By the way, I love that VW commercial.
I like the recent commercials (I think for some phone or something, I dunno, I don’t care either) with this deadpan guy sitting there talking to a group of young kids about stuff like whether faster is better or doing two things at once is better than doing one thing.
I think they’re all pretty funny but there’s one they’ve been playing a lot lately where this little girl just starts going on this long rant about werewolves ending with “rar rar rar rar rar which means I wish I was back to a human” and then the guy just goes “um… what?”, that just cracks the hell outta me.

This VW commercial has me in stitches every time I see it (father and son playing, um, “catch”).
There’s a Subaru commercial called “Cut the Rope” that has been running a lot lately. Dad and daughter are waiting for the bus on the first day of school. Both are trying to play it cool and act like they’re not scared. The look of barely concealed terror on the little girl’s face gets me every time. It’s hilarious and cute/tearjerking at the same time. What a great actress.
