Commercials you like?

I love the one from Petsmart with the big and little bulldogs {youtube}. So cute.

And the Geico caveman in puppet therapy still gets a laugh. “Hello. And he doesn’t say anything, because he’s a doll.”

Maynards candy. Damned catchiest tune I’ve heard in a long time.

I do like the yuppie/hipster cavemen. And that one for Knorr soups with the word ‘frozen’ bleeped out.

I posted not too long ago how the one with the dipshit flipping the wall switch off and on making the garage door down the street tear hell out of an old gal’s hood was a reason I would never consider buying that particular insurance. Well, they have another one that’s too funny: an Asian guy driving along and hearing some sort of mystery noise so he bangs on the dash a couple of times. Then the whole car falls to pieces. I laugh out loud at that one every time and I must have seen it 10-20 times already. Nationwide? Progressive? Whoever it is has redeemed themselves for the off-on-off-on abomination.

That one is too cute. I love it.

I really like the ones for Dairy Queen’s waffle cone/soft serve creations. They’re funny, and Mr. Waffle just looks delicious. Here’s an example: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-0CSHlGuWWQ&mode=related&search=

The truly beautiful Sprint ad using time-lapse photography and flashlights (I was delighted to find out that it was real, not faked).

Discussed here.

Years ago, the IBM commercial which showed a group of Japanese businessmen deciding that their new supplier would be a company based out of Texas.

Cut to a good ol’ boy, probably working out of his garage, looking at his monitor, receiving the new that his company has been selected.

Slowly says, ‘Do-mooooo a-ri-ga-to!’

I’m sure a lot of people find the annoying, but I really like the Sonic couple…the woman with blonde hair and they guy with glasses. They crack me up.

This one. (embedded YouTube)

And this condom commercial. (YouTube)

The barrel chested Miller High Life guy walks into a classy restaurant followed by two guys with hand trucks. They strip all the MHL beer out of the cooler, because the joint charges $11.95 for a hamburger. It’s hilarious.

I tried to find it on YouTube. No such luck.

I like the Travelers Insurance “pay it forward” commercial. One stranger does a random act of kindness for someone, and a third person sees the interaction and carries the torch, as it were.

They give me the warm and fuzzies.

They’re not airing it anymore, but the Sprint (?) cell phone with the fake fight between the mother and daughter cracked me up, probably because I have a teenage daughter myself. “You never hated me and you never will!” “Why, you grateful little…”

The nexflix commercial that takes place at a funeral/gathering from a few years ago.

I mentioned this when I first saw it a while back, and in seems to hit a nerve with some of the others, but I liked it.

There’s one that always makes me giggle when I see it, but I don’t see it very often. It’s for Comcast, and it shows a little girl surrounded by her mother, dad, and brother, and she’s about to blow out her birthday candles. All is quiet, she blows, the candles go out, and I really think it is the noise that slays me. There’s a short, undramatic bwomp sound, and her brother is instantly a stuffed purple gorilla.

I wish I could find it somewhere. I want to show my husband, but it always comes on when he’s out or late at night when he’s asleep.

This one from some non USA country…it’s hilarious.

I agree on the bulldogs ad. They’re so sweet. I love the way the little one looks up at the big one.

I like the Petsmart(?) one where the little dog carries his toy everywhere with him. And when they go to the store to get him a new one the cashier picks up dog and all to run the toy over the scanner.

I like this one, too, because it’s the third person who carries it on.

This one with the wiggling badger cracks me up every time. I think it’s the same ad agency that did the Geico caveman ads.

Wiggle, wiggle, wump!

I also like the Travelers commercial with the bunnies with their lucky rabbit’s feet reattached, so they have all these white rabbits with one colored foot.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

Two beautiful young ladies, one blond, one brunette, in sexy black dresses, enter the ladies room. They smile at each other, nod, and exchange wigs. They have big grins on their faces as they leave the ladies room. “What happens in Las Vegas…stays in Las Vegas” appears on the screen…
My imagination runs wild.

Those were both brilliant. I wish I hadn’t known the last was a condom commerical, but I still laughed at it.

That was great, especially since it was handmade. Someone, I think the director, said during the making of video something about how we see so many special effects that’s it’s special to see something made the old-fashioned way. In that way, it kind of reminded me of the gears ad from Honda UK.

And my contribution to the thread is this ad for an Ariston Aqualtis washing machine.
