I am a very infrequent driver and haven’t seen many at all in my life time but I did see a great one this past weekend on a Chevy Volt:
NOFULIN = “No Fueling” or "No Fuelin’ " or “No Fuel In” or even “No fooling” (This is definitely a common phrase that the early options are probably playing on. If I had a Volt I would go with “J PER C” myself.
These threads always makes me wish we could get proper vanity plates here. I mean, you can get a set, but even they are restricted to 3 letters and 3 numbers and there’s only so much you can do with that. There is however a scooter which has amusing plates I keep on seeing on my work route:
Here in the UK we’re at a disadvantage when it comes to vanity plates, as we are restricted to “official” combinations of letters and numbers, which have to follow set patterns, e.g. A1 BCD, or A12 BCD, or A123 BCD or AB12 CDE, or ABC 123D, etc (there have been several different systems, all of which can still be applied, so there are actually quite a few options). This does still give quite a bit of scope though.
In my local station car park I often see a Porsche with the plate Y 1 CAN.
Ooh, we’re looking at buying a new car. Likely to be an Odyssey minivan. So let me take this opportunity to get opinions on possible fun vanity plates. I’ve checked and all of these are currently available. Which one(s) do you like?

I can’t believe I haven’t posted this yet. I guess since I’ve posted them in other places around the board, I just assumed it was here.
If you’re not familiar with the Dodge Viper, that’s because it’s a $90,000 car and there’s a damn good chance you’ve never seen one on the road. There’s Dodge dealership in my neighborhood that always keeps one parked out front which is the only reason the one I saw caught my eye. It was black and the plate said SLYTHRN. (Or some combination of letters to mean Slytherin)
Here’s the other one. I’ve actually seen this one a couple of times, in the same place, on my way to work.
Also, how many recognize this reference. C’mon, think back. Party On.
