Also, it’s brunch Sunday over to the church house. I have a chikin/rice/green bean casserole all ready to go in the oven and do it’s thang. It’s a nice casserole and always get et up.
doggio are you goin’ to water ski in tiara and tutu like in the video? Haven’t seen that in years so it was fun to watch.
I grew up with heat and humidity so for me it’s no biggie. Plus, bein’ a Summer baby I don’t mind it too much.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I need to bake said casserole and purtify for deheathenization at some point.
Good morning! I’m not sure how I managed to sleep all the way till 7, but I’m sure it has to do with staying up till 11. Still, I’m mostly rested, so yay!
No real plans for the day - we’ll just wing it. However, there will be no tutus or tiaras here, no skis, but we do have water. That makes no real sense - maybe I’m not as rested as I thought…
We were up early as today it was supposed to be (and was!) around 75 this morning instead of the close to 90 it has been in the mornings and the grass need mowing badly. So i mowed the front mr ems mowed the the jungle that is the backyard and then he edged it all while i prepped omelet fixins and pulled the sheets off the bed for the laundry and then I went for coffee. Now mr ems is putting everything away and then we eat! Good job as I am starvink. But the lawns look good. We are going to run the sprinklers for a while as well. Now that all the chores are done that needed to get done the rest of the day is wide open.
Good morning all. It’s already toasty out here and is supposed to hit 95 degrees today. I don’t know how much we’ll get done outside in that kind of heat, but I want to try and knock some stuff out.

Ok I am totally geeking out, in a mere 13 hours Curiosity lands on Mars. I am so excited and a little scared. I will be watching live, in fact I am watching NASA TV in another window right now. Shatner just narrated the Seven Minutes of Terror landing video, which of course makes me happy on a couple of ways.
Evening, mumpers! I have had a busy day today, not bad for an alleged day of rest!
First thing after feeding the cats, I put some flea-killing powder stuff on the carpets. I give the cats flea treatments every month but now and again it is good to do the carpets too. That stuff has to sit for half an hour so I had a cup of tea before vacuuming it all up. After that, I stripped the bed and put the sheets in the laundry.
Then I stopped for tea and toast, and contemplated what to do next. Outside it was all cloudy and looked like rain so I decided that would be the perfect time to get the strimmer out and cut some of the little jungle out the back of the house. I did some of that, still haven’t discovered the pygmy tribe that I’m sure lives out there, cut back the worst of the brambles (not the ones with blackberries on, of course) and harvested a couple of tubs of spuds.
After a rest (and more tea, I’d be un-English if I didn’t keep up the tea levels), I got the Wii out and did the half-hour step programme and now I’m running a bath because I deserve one! Oh, and in case you start thinking to report me for animal cruelty, both cats have been fed and fussed again.
Back to work tomorrow, I start my new temp job in the Arts Building. What fun!

We went out for not-bad-Chinese, and I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. We’re under a severe thunderstorm watch - I hope it’s not just a tease. OK we don’t need a severe storm, but a few hours of rain would be nice.

I’m home and ready for bed. The show was pretty good. Not as good as last year, but there was some rain early on and I’m sure that deterred some people.
Haven’t seen that in years so it was fun to watch.
