I, on the other hand, speak “undocumented alien”. We pronounce the Z differently.
It does not, in fact, appear that those Republicans (such as, say, the chairman of the national party Richard Steele) can stand up to such as Rush Limbaugh. Have you not been following the news in the past few months?
Then there was the clown who seriously argued that a) “Sotomayor” was difficult to pronounce, and 2) this was an argument against her appointment.
Three questions. They dumped Michael Steele? They hired his brother? Why am I always the last to hear this stuff?
I think it was because nobody could remember his first name.
Remington?
Let me tell you: it’s no fun, speakin’ in illegal alien.
Anyway.
The servility of all things Republican to Rush and company of recent months is exactly the point, more so contrasting it to some less extreme voices now growing some 'nads, or little nubbins of 'em anyway … Cornyn, Sessions, Hatch, Noonan, all going on record to distance themselves from the wingnutoric. And while the bloviaters get a lot of air time, it’s the (relatively) moderates that are being recruited to run and who may actually get elected.
I for one, welcome our new Spanish overlords.
Ole!
When my father had a mustache, he looked EXACTLY like G Gordon Liddy. Really, it was a bit scary. People used to come up to us in restaurants and ask if he was. My father liked to tell them that he was Liddy’s son and then rant about how liberal his father was.

That’s a Norwegian name!
Next time you talk to your Dad, tell him he has a new fan. My kind of folks.
This is the postmodern age! Leave your old-fashioned esthetic philistinism at the door!
