1442 people were killed in Iraq so far this month, but one puppy rockets to the top of your indignation list?..I just find it odd that people scour the news for accounts of sick things that someone did that day. There were undoubtedly x number of murders, x number of rapes, x number of people tortured, etc. that same day.

How do people find this stuff? What is the thought process behind posting it?..Why? Do they enjoy in some perverse way discussing dead animals and prison rape?

Well, it was a top headline on one of the many news outlets I read on a daily basis.
Yes, it is a sad tragedy that so many of soldiers and Iraqis have been killed in Iraq. it is a something I think of everyday. I have friends who are serving in Iraq and no, the puppy that these cretians decided to roast a helpless animal didn’t “rocket to the to of my indignation list”. As and animal lover, I am nauseated when I read of animals (or people) being tortured and killed for some sick and twisted pleasure.
I am also angry at the fact that some asshole decided to kidnap and rape a middleschooler from a school about a mile from my house on Thursday. I was upset by the fact that a 5 year old boy was killed (in a horrible accident) by a garbage truck Friday afternoon. Stories like Genarlow Wilson’s make me wonder what the hell is wrong with the way the “system” works.
No, I do not enjoy dicussing the specifics of dead animals an prison rape. Sad and tragic things happen everyday, talking about things that happen on a daily basis is part of being a human being and giving a shit about what goes on in the world around us.
