Gag reels, to be precise-collections of mistakes made during the filming, usually of a humorous nature. They used to be made for the benefit of the people who made the movie, and more and more they are being released to the public. What are some of your favorite gag reels? One just recently released is from The Avengers.
Any of the films with Burt Reynolds and Dom De Luise
The Rush Hour trilogy
The closing credits of 1980s and 1990s Jackie Chan movies.
The gag reel from Star Trek(2009) is pretty good.
Been ages, but I seem to recall the outtakes from Firefly that were included on the DVD as pretty good.
The alternate takes from “Grumpy Old Men” with Burgess Meredith trying different double entendres.
The outtakes/behind the scenes from “40 Year Old Virgin” were memorable…
These Bleeds?
The gag reel for Step Brothers was funnier than most of the scenes that were actually in the movie. NSFW
The only reason I own the DVD of Meet the Fokkers is because it includes one of my favorite gag reels ever.
Yep, Firefly’s is great (there’s also this extended one), but Serenity’s takes it to a whole new level.
“Hood ornament” gets me every time.
