I always like to watch this particular extra if it shows up on a DVD.
Not that I’ve found a whole lot of them so far, but…the ones for Star Trek: Enterprise are pretty funny.
Also, Wes Craven’s Redeye has some hilarious outtakes.

I thought *Talledega Nights * was one of the most excruciatingly unfunny movies I’ve ever been unable to watch more than 20 minutes of, but the outtakes of the child actors shouting out the outrageous lines obviously being fed to them by offscreen grownups made me pee in my pants a little bit. “I’ma come at you like a spider monkey!”
I liked the Pirates of the Caribbean because Johnny Depp stays in character the whole time, even when he’s flubbed a line or his wig has fallen off.
Though it predated DVDs, the best I’ve ever seen were the outtakes by Peter Sellers in Being There.
When I saw the movie, I realized a scene was missing. Some gangbanger told Chance (Sellers) a long, expletive-ridden set of threats and telling him he had to deliver them to someone else. But there was no payoff. The outtakes shows that Sellers was incapable of delivering the lines in the proper way without cracking up.
I love the way he pronounces “You tell that ass-hewwwle…”
Oh, that was great stuff! “My mom and dad took me to a gay bar…”
I loved that show.
May I also add: Firefly, Serenity, and Supernatural to our growing list.
