Gale Force Winds - A Blustery MMP

Morning mumpers! I see nobody else has started this week’s MMP so I’ll do it for you since I’m already at work and on my second cup of tea. I’m not fit to be spoken to until at least my second cuppa, that’s just a fact of life.

We are forecast gale force winds and rain for the next couple of days, a right blustery combination from the look of things and perfect for autumn. That will bring the rest of the leaves down from the trees and leave a soggy mess on the pavements and roads. Not my favourite part of autumn, I like it much better when the leaves are all crisp and frosty.

What’s your favourite thing about autumn? Have at it!

First! It’s good to be juvenile.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 56 Amurrkin out and rainin’ with a predicted high of 61 for the day and rain. The rain should end this evenin’. It’s been a steady downpour since yestiddy mornin’. ICK!

BooFae, thanks for startin’ us off.

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least I don’t have to venture out and about.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

Up and at it for Moanday. Rice Krispies have been consumed with milk to follow, and acutally have a little work to do today, so there is that to look forward to.

Boofairy, I’m afraid that fall is not my favorite season, dark to early and light to late for me to see anything but my workplace, temperature not warm but not freezing, lots of rain…it is the time of year I tend to get most depressed…

Now that I’ve gloomed up the MMP, time to get dressed for irk.

It’s been breezy here, but that’s normal for Autumn on Lawn Guylindt.
also - stoopit cat thinks 5:00am is an acceptable time to ask for breakfast. Grrrrr.
and, of course, blurf.

I’m drinking a coffee. And I found out I sold some music online, so yay.

Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) who didn’t like to wear coats, hugging me on the walk from the parking lot to the Student Union in College.

Mine is right there as soon as the alarm goes off. At 4. She’s also tried that early on my days off.

One of my favorite parts of fall where I live now is that the summer heat has gone away.

Up and caffeinated. I’m off today and tomorrow. It’s cool and rainy.

Nettie, my favorite part of Fall is Spring.

I enjoy watching the actual change in the season itself; the moderating temps, the less humid air (with many brilliant sunsets), migrating geese, the colors, etc. Though I don’t like cold I do like the drop in humidity as well.

Pseudo Thanksgiving is over - a nice meal and great family time. Stopped at a 2 alarm business fire while taking the kids home, got to show them how a medium sized town with volunteers fights a fire. My kids are of a great age for conversation; history, philosophy, anything is fair game. Our 3 hour drives are not quiet.

After the drop off I routed back through a mainly rural are, backtracking partly the way I came to take the kids home. As it was sunset on the way up I counted close to 200 deer in the fields next to the road. On the way back I saw about 30 darned close to the road (near collision), dodged 3 (actively), and passed one poor SUV who had just struck a deer, which was dead in the middle of the right lane. Dark road, high speed and a curve, there was no stopping to make it safer.

Downside of fall; Rutting Season. Did see an albino fawn though, that was cool.

Emily congrats on the sale.

Nettie & Rose - ah yes, kinda forgot about that part with cats. My condolences.

Have a good week everyone!

Yay!

Darn morning people…
This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. Please try again in 1 seconds.

Without work-place posts, there almost wouldn’t be a MMP.

The way she used to roll her -------- oh, you mean the season. Sorry about that.

My favorite part is being able to see further and discover old abandoned things in the distance. Summer is all green and some cool stuff is hidden by the leaves. Come fall all the old houses and falling down things are revealed and I just happen to like that sort of thing.

WOOHOO!!!

Hey — wait one darn moment. You already made post number 6 back at like 7:23AM. Are you one of those self-hating morning people? :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Moonday!

I guess it’s chilly outside since the heat has been running. The furnace guy comes on Thorsday to check things out. The house isn’t vibrating anymore when the heat runs but I should probably keep the appointment anyway.

Sah-son finally finished his music paper. I think if I had to listen to El Grillo one more time I was going to scream. Today I hit youtube in search of a new earworm.

I like fall. I like spring better but fall is second. It’s not too hot, nor too cold. The air is nice and crisp. I liked it better when I had a horse, perfect riding weather.
That said, I don’t like raking leaves, or the little hidden bombs in the leaves. I don’t like that it gets dark before 5pm.

Cold Dish? Revenge or Ice Cream?

Kids are off to school.

I love FALL (as I have already established)!

Cooler weather, rain, Thanksgiving, Halloween. It’s all good!

Happy Moanday!

Was she that girl in San Francisco?

Except for when it’s the falling leaves hiding things. Went to a party yesterday afternoon, where the sweet & loving, but highly rambunctious Golden was banished to the porch/backyard for the duration.
Went out back to give him some loving, but it took him minutes to find his most favoritest slightly-shredded string toy for a game of fetch buried in all of the leaves on the ground. Humans; we don’t have sniffers nearly that good.
