[GAME] Answer to Ask

answer: does “falling in love” count? Other than that, I try to do things backwards all the time(put keys in the wrong way, roll the window down instead of up, turn faucet handles in the wrong direction)

ask: If you could see your entire future in a crystal ball, would you look?

Answer: Absolutely not, esp if it involved me seeing my own death or the death of loved ones. I’d rather not know.

Ask: Do you ever wish a certain person out of your life then regret thinking that a second later?

answer: Yes. A male friend. I want more- he wants to be “just friends”. It’s complicated and painful. I go from pining over him to wishing I never met him to wanting to be his friend, at the flip of a switch.

ask: Tell me about “the one that got away”.

Answer: Not sure what constitutes “the one that got away” but there was a guy who I wanted to be with for quite a while, we tried to be friends, found out the attraction was mutual but he was in a relationship. We kind of cut things off, then out of the blue one day he told me he was ending his relationship and wanted to possibly see where things would go with me. I had just started dating someone at the time, but I cut things off with this new guy in hopes of being with this other friend who I had been crushing on for a long time. We met up a couple of times, he then came over to my apartment, we hung out, played some video games, and had one of the most awesome make out sessions of all time. The passion was palpable and the moment was just absolutely perfect. I thought for sure that we were going to be together.

Turns out I was WRONG. He didn’t want to have anything to do with me after that, and then started dating someone else. We’re at the point where we smile and say hello to each other when we see one another out and about, but that’s the extent of our friendship. But yeah… he got away because he didn’t want me, not because I said or did something stupid, so I’m not really sure if that counts.

Ask: Would you rather drink a cup of your own pee, eat your own poop, or drink a cup of your own vomit, and why?

Answer: The pee, I suppose. I think it would be easier to force down a liquid than anything solid or chunky. I’ve heard of people drinking it in survival situations, so it’s probably not actively harmful. And I suspect it has the mildest taste of the three options. The stomach acid in vomit is pretty nasty coming up, so probably similarly unpleasant going back down.

Ask: Tell me about the one who didn’t get away.

answer: My only real “long-term” relationship: We met, got drunk/flirted, he came over the next day, we had sex, and he just… stayed. For over 2 years, until I’d had enough of his assholism and kicked him out. I’m sooo lucky with men!

ask: love or money?

money, definitely. I gotten by my entire life without love even though I’ve been in several long term relationships that have lasted 5-7 years each. But when the shit hits the fan, it’s the cash you can count on, not people.

Ask: Own or rent?

answer: I’ve decided I’m not responsible enough to own things. I own my house, and it needs a bit of work, which I have neither the money nor the know-how to get done. I’d rather give my money to a landlord every month, and let him/her worry about plumbing, and furnaces, and stuff.

ask: What movie have you watched the most times?

Titanic/Overboard. I seem to be drawn to water.

Ask: What month would you like to revisit?

answer: in general, I like September. specifically? June 1993, so I could teach certain family members the importance of calling 911 when someone’s not. friggin. BREATHING. :frowning:

ask: Why am I still up when I said I was going to bed…?

REAL ask: Do you believe “blood is thicker than water”?

Answer: No, I’ve seen and experienced loving, loyal, and supportive relationships that were healthier and longer-lived than some toxic relationships with family members. (Not my own; my family is relatively sane and loving)

Question: What advice would you go back in time and give yourself before losing your virginity?

Answer: Geez, good question. Maybe be less shy and inhibited. Go all out, experience all you can and have fun. Otherwise, don’t do it. The guy I lost my virginity to was hot as heck and the sex was great, but I needed to be less self conscience to really enjoy it, otherwise wait until you are in a definite long term (i.e. marriage) relationship before giving up the goodies, and when you do have fun dammit.

Ask: Have you ever done something life changing that you secretly regret but wouldn’t tell anyone IRL?

answer: That’s a hard question- I mostly regret things I didn’t do. Like go to college, for instance. But it’s not a big secret, or anything. shrug

ask: Got any tattoos?

Answer: Nope, but for years my sisters and I have been saying we might get a little sister-symbol. We’re thinking of perhaps three tiny little elephants holding each others’ tails, somewhere subtle. I want it in the arch on the sole of my foot. The reason we always talk about it is that if we’re ever found dead in mysterious circumstances, like the Taman Shud case, it would be way more interesting if there were mysterious tattoo symbols involved.

Ask: If your plane crashed in the Andes, would you eat your already-dead loved ones to survive? Anyone you particularly could or couldn’t eat?

Answer: Nope, waaaay too squeamish. I’d die first.

Ask: What is the first book you remember someone reading to you?

Answer: I can’t remember the name but I do have a hazy memory of a series of big but thin white books that focused on each letter of the alphabet, and I remember my mom reading those to me. But I cannot remember the name of the series :frowning:

Ask: If you were forced to play just one video game, listen to just one song, watch one TV show or read one book over and over again for the rest of your life, what would they be? (Answer for each one please)

Answer:
Videogame - maybe minesweeper, does that count? I love how you can play it with your mind switched off. I love it for when I get stuck writing, it lets other thoughts float in just below the surface.

Song - “Grace”, by Jeff Buckley. Maybe…

TV show - “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Though “The West Wing” was a good contender, I would never tire of Buffy.

Book - “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The first few reads I would still be working out the characters. Then I would enjoy the writing more. I could probably find something on each read, forever.

Ask: do you wear clothes you shouldn’t, but you sniff tested them?

Never  I’m really fat and worry about smelling bad on a good day so it’s always clean clothes for me.

Which three people living or dead would you bring on a road trip across the nearest continent?

Answer: Abraham Lincoln (great storyteller; many questions I’d like to ask him); John F. Kennedy (fascinating and witty guy); Keira Knightley (my favorite actress). I’d just have to keep JFK from seducing Keira.

Ask: It’s raining heavily here now. Have you ever danced naked in the rain?

Answer: I don’t think I’ve ever danced naked period unless you count shaking off in the shower as a dance, or the horizontal bump as a dance

Ask: Who would you rather bone, Jack Nicholson or Meg Ryan?
