I’ve always derided Facebook games - they’re lame, I’ll never get into one, blah blah blah. But my wife has been trying to get me into Gardens of Time for ages. I tried it, and dammit, she got me hooked. It’s more-or-less Sim Garden, in which you try to build fancier attractions to get people to come to your garden, combined with a find-the-hidden-pictures game. It’s very fun, IMO.
One important aspect of the game is to have neighbors who view your garden and help you out. It increases your experience, your ability to build fancier structures, and your ability to play farther along the game’s incredibly long story arc. So if anyone plays, or wants to play, sign up and invite me - my Facebook profile. Alternately, you can post your profile here or PM me, and I’ll invite you.
I fully expect this thread to sink like a large stone, but we’ll see…
It’s a fairly thin theme linking the different settings in which you play the find-the-hidden-objects games. You’re a member of a Time Society, travelling between different time periods, finding hidden objects within larger pictures. the better you do, the farther you can go and the better your garden can be improved. There’s some kind of possible romantic subplot, but I haven’t figured that out yet.
As an aside, has anyone yet made a Facebook game where one DOESN’T have to have a ludicrous number of friends playing? I can see 3-8 people, but I quit Empires and Allies when it became apparent that getting the most out of it was going to take upwards of 50 friends.
The ones I play the most is Dragon Age Legends; I don’t have any friends who play it, and it works just fine. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive after a while, though.
I used to like it myself, until the constant bugs drove me away. I don’t know if they’ve improved on it any since (in the four months since I stopped playing), but it used to be buggy as hell.
