You’re quite right that we should be denouncing severe homophobia wherever it exists. I guess I’m focusing on Canada’s part in it out of an urge to cultivate my own garden. After all, it’s my government.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, isn’t Canada taking another look at their immigration policies anyway? I thought I saw a 60 Minutes thing on how easy it has been for just about anyone to get into your country. At first I thought it was mostly a good thing, but I think the U.S. may have asked you to tighten the restrictions (since 9/11). Am I remembering this correctly?
