Most of these are funny, but a few are starting to get offensive.
I have heard gay people say “he doesn’t bat for our team” as a euphemism for a straight guy many, MANY times in my life. However, we never say that WE are the other team, of course.
Apologies on behalf of those of us on this “team” who are neither funny nor aware of how bad we sometimes sound.
Internet message board humor- not always well crafted, not always enlightened.
That’s not what I was talking about. I meant things like ‘nancy boy’ ‘fudge packer’ etc which are derogatory slurs that have been used against us for years.
Now then, if my name was Rod and I owned a bar in Pittsburg I would call it the Rod of Steel. 
Or Drillrods.
I like that too. (I had to look up what city the Steelers are in…)
So was “queer” yet I’ve heard lots of gay people use that term. In fact, dare I say a few have taken it over and turned in into “their” word.
I imagine most police officers would find it offensive if I suggested calling a regular police hangout bar The Pig Pen but might find it funny if you did. If you can’t see the difference, I’m not sure what else to say.
So as not to derail what actually was a rather amusing thread, I’m done with this topic in this thread.
There was a “cop bar” around here at one time owned by a former Milwaukee police officer named “Fuzzys”, fuzz having been a disparaging term for police officer at one time.
And you would not believe how many cops have piggy banks and pig in uniform statuettes on their desks.
You refuse to understand that you were being offensive, got it.
Back to the thread though…I’ll go with Ball Handlers.
