The Queer Eye gang will be on Leno tonight and tomorrow night (Thursday, Aug 14 & Friday, Aug 15, 2003). Friday night is a make over night for Jay! [Tsk, tsk. Don’t they know that the QE folks only do make-betters?]
20/20 will be doing a piece on gay themes in pop culture Friday night (Aug 15, 2003).
History Channel is doing a series on infamous murders, and guess what? That’s right, a segment on murders of gay men. Monday, Aug 18, at 11 PM & encored on Tuesday, Aug 19, 3 AM {or PM, my note-taking sucks). 2003.

Surprising that Nathan Lane’s new show (Charlie Lawrence) didn’t take off after the pilot and one show. Too bad it was two months behind the times.
American Movie Classics will air Gay Hollywood August 11 at 10:00 PM EDT. It’s a documentary following five gay men at various levels of success in Hollywood as they try to make it big. VH1 will air Totally Gay! August 18 at 11:00 PM EDT. It’s an edxamination of the increased presence and visibility of gays in the media over the last decade.
sigh While Nathan the Cuddly is outstanding on the big screen and the stage, he consistently gets saddled with absolute flopfests of television scripts. Add to that the fact that only skinny, pretty gay male characters get a straight following (Queer as Folk, Will & Grace) and shows with actors like Nathan and characters like John Goodman’s in Normal, Ohio have no chance as yet.
Admittedly, Will & Grace isn’t consistently funny, either, but Megan Mulally saves the entire show…
Thanks for the heads up on Gay Hollywood, airing on August 11th.
I’ll just set my time machine to go back to Monday and…no, wait…I actually did tape it and haven’t gotten around to seeing it yet.
Yeah…ain’t it kind of strange that with all the hoopla and Dumbass W trying to cram us fags back in the closet, we seem to be popping out all over the place. We should, however, thank our lucky stars that Richard Simmons didn’t decide to run for Governor of California.
Mr. and Mr. Nash is being produced by Steve Martin and Joan Stein. The premise is a sort of Hart to Hart, but with two Gay lovers solving the crimes. Could be funny, and Steve Martin has done some good scriptwriting, so there is hope.
