Gears of War Ad---What's that Music?

I saw a commercial last night for “Gears of War”, the latest post-apocalyptic-fight-monsters-with-your-giant-gun video game, and the graphics were accompanied by this haunting tune. It was mostly piano and a man singing. I know I’ve heard it somewhere before, but I just can’t place it. The only words I could make out were, (I think) “Mad World.”

Any ideas?

It is “Mad World” by either Tears For Fears or Gary Jules. The version they play is the Gary Jules version, same as in Donnie Darko, but I don’t know who wrote the song originally.

Wikipedia says Tears For Fears had it first. They’re playing a (famous) cover version.
