The problem is, I don’t know the name of the game. Saw the commercial the other night. The game is a first person shooter, para-military style, maybe some sort of supernatural or extra-terretrial element. The best way to describe the song is haunting. A high male tenor voice and an accompanying piano (I think; my recollection is a little fuzzy). I think the song may be a slow cover of a faster original. I’ll certainly know it when/if I hear it.

The name of the artist escapes me but it is a remake of a tears for fears song called Mad world. You can find it on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
The game is Gears of War and the song is Mad World, first by Tears for Fears but the version in the commercial is by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews from the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
