Gee Daughter, Thanks For Sharing...

We’re currently at my in-laws for the weekend, and a short time ago Grandma gave The Littlest Briston her first box of animal crackers. She’s been happily pulling them out, exclaiming what kind of animal she’s found, and then devouring it.

A few minutes ago she came over to me, handed me a cracker, and said “Here Daddy…this for you”.

“Oh, thank you sweetheart” I replied. Then I looked at what kind of animal she gave me.

:dubious:

Little brat…which one of you put her up to this?

Isn’t she a lamb.

It was so sweet of her to think of ewe!

I’m feeling awfully sheepish, since it took me several seconds to figure out which animal she gave you.

It was a lion, right? Because you’re so fearsome and noble!

Well, they say the lion shall lie down with…

Maybe she was just … woolgathering?

This is baaaaaad.

I’m gonna need a link.

There’s a joke/pun somewhere in here about March “in like a lamb”, but I’m not quite finding it.

You’ve been here since 2000, have 1600 posts and somehow missed the plethora of Hal-sheep jokes?

I suppose I did. Is there a remedial class I can sign up for?

I’ll join you in that class, Annie, because my thinking was:
1 - oh how funny, OP will feel silly on noticing omission of link

2 - but other people seem to understand

3 - are my new spectacles not all that good?

4 - where is missing link?

5 - Ah! Light dawns. Penny drops.

6 - thumps self on head.
I had been thinking of doing something extremely clever like, perhaps, learning to tie my shoelaces, but I now feel I may have to put that off for a while. :smack:
Feeling sheepish now.

Clearly you haven’t been paying attention. Don’t say things like this in front of Hal; he’ll get entirely the wrong idea.

Get the flock outta here, you serious?
Oh only in the SDMB could we spin such yarns.
I see even more looming over the horizon…

I think Hal managed to pull the wool over Annie’s and Celyn’s eyes.

So, how did the cracker compare to the real thing? (I didn’t even know you could do that to a cracker!)

quietly slips Littlest Briston the promised $20

$20 Canadian is a nice little nest egg for Littlest Briston! Just don’t get fleeced at the exchange booth.

Maybe the Littlest Briston could take the money to a computer shop to get a RAM upgrade.
