Generic, generic, generic match.com women

It appears I’m wrong twice. I can no longer find the words that say they don’t go through the emails. It used to be under email help. Sorry for being so stubborn, Portia.

But I wonder if it’s the remailer doing it. Perhaps the software goes through the body as well as the to: line. Maybe mine only got through because I use a different address in the email than is registered with match.

Link doesn’t work for me.

I’m 21, almost 22.

I used to place ads in the personals (online) all the time, I gave up due to the “strange” people who used to reply. I’m 6’2" and would get men between 5’4" and 5’6" who wanted to know things like how strong was I (so I could pick them up and carry them around) and did I like to wrestle
I wouldn’t mind but I wasn’t even advertising in the “pervvy” sections of the sites … :frowning:

Well, I figured since other people posted theirs, I might as well get some thoughts on my profile.

I’ve got new pictures that should theoretically be going through the approval process at the moment. But still there’s either something wrong with the profile or it’s just because I’m fat…

Nope, it’s 'cause you’re from Muncy.

RED RAIDERS RULE, WE WANT THE SHOE!

OK. I’ve been reading this thread awhile and thought I’d post my profile in. Like Obdisian I just sort of wrote it. I’m at work so much and I’ve never had luck with the bar scene, so I have my fingers crossed for this. I downloaded a pic but it’s not up yet.

If that doesn’t work just search for Nyx2193.

::grumble:: Dont start with me, ya dirty river rat…

Seriously, nothing wrong with the profile…except it makes me feel old to realize that, when I graduated from Montgomery, you were five years old.

As long as everyone else is doing it . . . I signed up for Match.com and TheOnion personals last night.

Match.com

Dunno if Match.com one will show up, since I just joined last night. But it’s worth a try.

TheOnion

It’s hidden now. :frowning:

There’s a lot of linky-no-workies in this thread. When you link to a profile from outside match.com, it’ll only work if it’s in the form:

http://www.match.com/profile/showprofile.aspx?&handle=username

“username” being the match.com profile name. Folks who aren’t match.com memebers will be able to see the profile if it’s linked like this.

That doesn’t make you old, that just makes me really young. Like young enough to still consider it a bad thing.

Hell, everyone else is doing it.

My profile

  1. Red Hat linux and I routiny use unix to a small extent at the university.

  2. Well, there’s the bore solvent and the reguler gun oil, all under the #9 label.(which begs the question, what happened to the first 8? :))

  3. It means don’t leave garbage behind, leave it as you found it.

  4. Rusty visual basic skills, Growing C++ skills, some HTML.

My trainwreck!

You have to go to “public view (as others see it)” to get the correct link.

Linky.

I’m curious as to what sort of responses you get with that profile.

Linky no worky … again.

Gang, gang, gang … follow my instructions. That’s the ONLY way non-Match.com members and those who aren’t logged in to Match will see your profile. The format for the link is the same as the link you’ll get from “e-mail profile to a friend” in Match.

Seriously … don’t log into Match, click on your profile, and post that link. IT DOESN’T WORK FOR OTHERS!

Thanks, Elmwood. I was beginning to think that I had a Match.com account I didn’t know about because it kept telling me that they had closed my session for my privacy and that I should log back in.

Byter’s linky

Seriously, Byter, do you get any nibbles on that hook? It scares the crap out of me.

Wow. Just, wow. I think I’d be more scared to see the nibblers.
