Well, I can’t be sure how I did it since I tried more than one thing at the same time. Frankly, I don’t have enough time to sit here and figure out how to break the board… I need to spend time fixing the things I broke here…
Anyhoo, I submitted, then hit the button a few extra times for good luck. Then, when the progress bar hit the end, I hit the “Stop” Icon and re-re-submitted. Then, when I got the “Thanks for submitting” page, I hit “Stop” again, backed up, and re-re-resubmitted.
That did it!
Hope I don’t get in trouble now. For better or for worse, my world makes sense again. I can break ANYTHING!!!
Considering that double-posting could be considered an abuse of this board, and a pattern of it would show the mods and admins a desire to break said rule, I doubt you’ll get in trouble for saying how you did it.
I’ve got, what, about 18 posts including this one. I’d have seventeen if one of’ em wasn’t a double post (to my eternal shame).
What I did was:
1 Blather on a bit, copy the text I typed (that’s me, the anal fella over in the corner), then hit post.
2 Sit there staring at a progress bar.
3 Eventually hit Stop.
4 Refresh the thread in another window, and not see my post.
5 Repost.

Please desist. We are currently having enough trouble with disappearing posts, ghost posts, and general bandwidth issues without people attempting to cause glitches intentionally. Every time you click submit you are denying resources to other posters. Thank you.
Can we chose who we’re denying resources to? I’d like to think to myself when submitting “ha! Take that UncleBeer! I have denied you yet another chance for a witty retort.”
Rumour had it we could sneak in here and deny resources to UncleBeer … can we deny him other things … like cable tv? … or scotch? … can I deny him Christmas? … or access to the washroom?
