In case I can’t get back, I’m going to:

Vote Pedescribe

vote Silver Jan - I’ve seen late lynch-the-absent screw with Town pretty badly; Silver has been waffling all over the place (see Astral and Normal’s cases); and her vote record is pretty bad.

Whether or not your night three action was aimed at Zeriel has direct impact on Inner Stickler. You’re basing your confirmation of IS’ claimed roleblock on you (the main thing currently indicative of his innocence) on your having actually been roleblocked – but if you targeted Zeriel, then it’s possible you were not roleblocked at all, and Inner is lying. I’d like to know whether you targeted Zeriel specifically last night; if it was anyone else, I don’t care.

I’m taking the response to the other question as being whatever power you chose to use on night one, none of today’s claims shed any light on the outcome.

I have absolutely no idea what I would do with the decision or decisions you have to make tonight, but if you want input, I’m perfectly willing to babble about it.

As a summary:

I wouldn’t mind seeing **pedescribe **die. I don’t like lurkers, especially lurkers who’ve posted elsewhere on the boards while not posting in the game for weeks. This is where my vote currently lies.

I think Silver Jan’s innocent townie act is potentially a cover for a scummy player who’s not committing to anything.

I think Weedy’s comment about the poisoner smacks of PIS, especially the half-assed followup talking about it being an assumption.

Well that’s a really good reason to vote for someone!! Couldn’t you even be bothered to quote anything I actually said to make your own case against me  I can’t even remove my vote from** Pedescribe** now even if I wanted to (which I don’t) because you have caused a tie again. And I have a bad voting record?? I didn’t vote for** Astral** on Day 3 when he was more or less confirmed Town.

I do agree that Pedescibe has to go as he is doing nothing for Town.

For Weedy’s comment to be PIS the poisoner would have to definitely not BE scum, and I’m not at all certain that’s true. Only one kill in three days is more consistent with a scum bonus kill than with a serial killer, all else being equal. (Pedescribe as vig is also an interesting possibility given his two votes on Pleonast, but the timing is hard to figure and other than appealing to me on a “would fill the holes neatly” basis I don’t really believe it.)

Until more is known, though, I’m more suspicious of Stanislaus for pushing this than I am of Weedy for saying it. Stanislaus mostly not because of that, but because of this:

He unvoted Inner Stickler post claim, but he’s never mentioned Sister Coyote today, much less focused suspicion on her. Why, Stanislaus?

Agree with whom? What Tom said is closer to the opposite sentiment.

Sorry Normal, I was agreeing with Zeriel.

  1. I don’t have to use a power Nightly.

  2. If I did, it wasn’t aimed at Zeriel.

That’s not a safe assumption.

For one thing, the poisoner might be the ALE itself or one of its members, and the player who killed N1 be a serial killer.

pedescribe (4) - Inner Stickler [1094], Zeriel [1125], Silver Jan [1128], Mahaloth
**Silver Jan (4) **- Normal Phase [1108], Winston Smith [1188], Astral Rejection [1224], Tom Scud
**Winston Smith (1) **- Sister Coyote [1167]
MHaye (1) - Weedy
Weedy (1) - Stanislaus
My best guess at a vote count, based on Weedy’s earlier. If it’s still tied when I leave work at 4:30 Central Time, I will shift my vote to pedescribe to avoid a tie, though I do think Silver Jan is more likely to be scum.

The problem with a pedescribe lynch is that it yields us almost no information. Even if he’s scum, he’s done so little that we can’t reasonably find other scum after lynching him. It’s almost a waste of a lynch - doubly so if he’s actually town.

From a strategic point of view, then, pedescribe should not be our lynch, at least in my opinion. Silver Jan is a better target; her death will fill in some holes in our knowledge and hopefully allow us to draw some meaningful connections.

It’s too late in the day to try to get a switch going, especially since I can’t start one myself without giving pedescribe the lead, but SisterCoyote, from a purely informational standpoint, would be an excellent lynch. Her death would fill in a lot of holes. Add in the fact that 3 out of 6 known townies were suspicious of her, and many of our suspected townies were as well (including me), and she seems like a good lynch.

Maybe toMorrow I can revisit this and finally, actually build a substantial case against her. Depends on what happens toDay and toNight.

We still have 4 non-voters (3 if you count pedescribe).

  1. fluiddruid - bomb detector
  2. pedescribe - NO IDEA
  3. nesta - vanilla
  4. MHaye - vanilla

Read the case again - my theory was that TexCat picked up votes so quickly because Inner was the lynch-leader and scum were protecting him. When Mahaloth vouched for Inner, that kicked the legs from under both cases.

In the interests of getting a result, I’m going to:
**
unvote Weedy**
vote Silver Jan

having re-read and a) agreed that there is something about the overplayed innocent townie case and b) looked at this post in a new light:

It just screams stealth-gloating. Especially the reference to another Slumlord rather than language like “one of us”.

Vote Silver Jan

OK, I see it in that context.

Thank you.

It was a little dig at Astral.

This is a good call, and SilverJan’s been on my radar anyway for playing the confused nub card.

Vote Silver Jan

Absolutely far too much evidence against her.
