Doo dee dooo…hummmm hmmm…
Ah ha! But if you’re still arguing, I must have paid! I’ve got you there.
I don’t think Johnny Carson would kick his ass, but I’m sure he’d make a wicked joke and GWBs expense.
Oh, I’ve had enough of this.
James Cagney would know how to handle that dirty yellow rat.
You’re not giving me much of a choice. I have to pick between two grandstanders of varying competence?
Meh. Give me Truman any day. He acquitted himself well in World War I, he wasn’t ostentatious, and damned if he didn’t know how to make decisions and stick to them.
Regardless, the comparison of Bush to Caesar is ridiculous. Caesar went out with his armies even as Emperor. Only Washington did so on purpose, and that was for a minor little historical sidenote fracas a short distance away from the seat of government. Madison did so while running for his life. Bush is not behaving any differently in that respect than any of the other Presidents.
Naww…he must mean John Cheung ; Now, he’d totally flip-out and start flying and kick GW in the crotch and then he’d explode and it would be totally sweet.
Another plug for Juan Cole.
Who has been on GWB’s case for a while now.
Fine, who do I complain to?
Forgot Teddy and the Roughriders did we ?
No, I meant 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and two-time main event champion Johnny “The Orient Express” Chan.
I take it this has turned into a post padding party.
This is actually a better bio.
Johnny Carson wouldn’t. He’d send Ed McMahon to do his dirty work for him.
I so love it when Jacques is in one of his moods…

Who’d be my choice of presidents for leading me into battle? Irrelevant as presidents don’t lead into battle. There’s the whole thing about the military is not in charge of the civilian government in the United States of America–being a member or former member of the military has EXACTLY ZERO to do with qualification for the presidency.
About the Roman emperors: I admit to either a lack of education about how they became emperors or I’ve just plain forgotten what the teachers taught me). So, did they really have to prove themselves in battle first?
Unless the country is at war and the president’s administration tries to politically micromanage that war. Then it just MIGHT be relevant…maybe…
No, you haven’t.
mswas: Huh? And your comment has bearing on reality in what universe?
Hey, now! We’ve got a perfectly good hijack going on here! Quit tryin’ to kill our buzz!
