I think most normal people knew there was something wrong with that guy as soon as they learned the details of the case. If he’d killed a white kid everyone would have agreed that he was an amoral scumbag and the issue would have been dropped. But he killed a black kid, which many secret and not-so-secret racists (I’m looking at Steophan here) wish they they had the opportunity to get away with. And so he became a cause celebre for the sociopath crowd. I wish he, and his supporters, would just fucking go into the cornfield.
