If you’re driving into Cologne by car you can use “Silvanstraße” for navigation and try to find a place to park. It shouldn’t be to hard to find parkingspace on a saturday afternoon but there are a lot of one way streets and it’s sometimes not to easy to find the way back.
You can also park in the Rheinauhafen Parkhaus. Be sure to park close to exit “Bayenturm” - that Parkhaus is HUGE and you might find yourself having to walk a very long way if you take the wrong exit!

Hi folks, I know it’s been some time since the event, but there’s a lot going on in my life at the moment so I didn’t find the time earlier to post a photo from the Dopefest. So here it is:
Once again, I want to thank everybody who attended for a wonderful and exciting day. You’re all great people. What I learned from getting to know **Nava **and **JoseB **is that great storytelling seems to be a high art in Spain. You must post some of the hilarious stories you told us on the Dope some time. But I have to admit that after the two left, The Butterfly’s Ghost, mkl12 and me broke a SDMB rule and switched to German :eek:. But no mod, no warnings ;).
You cannot imagine what a crucial and important event this meet-up was for me. That much I can tell: it helped me to get out of a 5-year long, ugly and crippling depression, and I’m so grateful for that. Maybe I will post about that more in a seperate thread, because right now I feel like shouting from the rooftops: “I’m back in life again!” Thanks again.

Aw man! I somehow missed seeing this thread entirely. I’m glad a good time was had! If you all put together another German Dopefest, I’d love to be there if it’s at all possible! I’m in the Frankfurt area, so delightfully central and popping over to Cologne wouldn’t be a problem.

Yay! I had a fantastic time, even though the Universe appeared to be doing its level best to prevent me from showing up at the meeting.
And, well… Which stories would you like me to share first with the rest of the Dope?
