I’ve heard that the pornography in Germany frequently features scatological themes- that the act of people pooping on one another and eating it is considered erotic to many Germans. Is this true?
It’s my understanding that special effects are frequently used in American pornography (think: squirt-guns filled with Jergen’s lotion). Is scat porn real, or could they be using props? If it is real, how do they keep the actors from getting diseases??

I’ve seen several German porns and not a one included scat of any sort, nor urine, nor barnyard animals.
But I’m sure scat porn is real. People poop on each other and pee on each other for real in real life, so why not on film?

And for the record Surreal, there are scat pervs everywhere in the world, not just Germany.
I’m certainly not passing any judgement on anyone’s personal preferences, and I’m not suggesting this is unique to Germany. My question was more about how ‘mainstream’ this type is over there, and how it would be regulated.

I would assume that scat porn is about as mainstream, and as regulated, in Germany as it is in Gobbler’s Knob, Pee-Ay.
Most scat is very real. At the very least, and apologies for being graphic here, but if it’s not in fact feces, something has been put up their rectum and pushed back out, as in the few I’ve seen, you get a closeup shot of the act. Regardless of what’s coming out, considering where it’s been, it’s no less foul.
I’m suprised that this link (you don’t want to click, TRUST ME) which is a Japanese example of the subject, and one of the more famous pictures on rotten.com, hasn’t been menationed in this thread yet. This sort of thing is not exclusively German.

My guess is that scat porn is generally real, and they use suppositories for maximum hygiene. Although I’m not sure how that works in practice.
Well, I don’t know if it’s “true” or not. Chances are that your perception of German porn might be somewhat skewed since they undoubtedly make huge amounts of “normal” porn that never makes it to American shores. Maybe the scat videos are the only ones that get here.
Having said that, the few I’ve seen were mostly German, with a few Japanese ones thrown in for good measure.
Also, I once went on a trip to NYC back when Times Square was still a porn den and I remember going into a video store and noticing that all of the “barnyard videos” were apparently Swedish - or of some other Scandinavian origin. Again, I’m sure the Swedes make plenty of “normal” porn videos and those were the only Swedish ones the store carried.
Fair enough. It’s for the best anyway.
I can assure you that they are real and in circulation. I had a friend of mine that was really into that particular style (as well as some other nastiness) and one of his favorite things to do was share it with his friends. We watched one out of bravado, but needless to say it was the height of foulness.
