Maybe it was a replica of Oppenheim’s Object.
(ninja’d.)
Heh I noticed that the OP must be in a different time zone because LMaD was still 2 hours away so I set my DVR and just finished watching it (I fastforwarded til I saw a couple! Honest!) If it was meant as a politically incorrect double entendre it seemed lost on everyone and frankly I don’t see Wayne Brady getting on board if it was.
It may not be intended as such, but it could be perceived that way. So I’d at least expect some announcement about how it was just a “zonk”-style prize that was randomly assigned, and just happened to land on some lesbians.
I also think the ephemeral nature of the show and its older target audience may keep it from becoming a big deal. The only way it becomes big online is if someone writes an angry article about it that goes viral.
And all that’s without seeing the clip, which may make it seem more or less innocuous. And any decent article will include a clip.
(I’m also not entirely certain that the carpet munching thing is a current thing. It might be just seen as quaint and silly now.)
That could be… if Fur Plates actually meant anything to lesbians.
Bolding mine.
I haven’t asked (because that would be rude) but I am pretty sure that is still a “thing” that lesbian couples do.
“. . . and then the ladder started to shift; then next thing you know, I’m falling. Luckily, I just happened to land on some lesbians.”
Thank the Almighty those contestants were lesbians, or this whole incident would’ve been ludicrous.
