Get Smart Maraton--Excellent

I am thrilled that TVLand has finally put Get Smart onto their new lineup, and starting it out as a marathon is perfect! I have waited forever to see this show, as I am a big fan of Inspector Gadget (the cartoon; not that dreadful movie). This show is as great as I imagined it! I’m also always a sucker for old shows, too, but this is great!

Get Smart was my favorite show growing up. My parents were a bit strict on TV, they were worried about exposing me to violence too young, but they let me watch this show.
In fact, I do believe I watched it on Nickelodeon… So they probably just stopped showing them for awhile and just now got it back on.
Im happy about this… Might have to start watching TV again.

Oops, thought you said Nick…Not TV land, forget about that part of the post.

Yeah, I hardly ever watch TV except for a couple of shows on the History channel, The Simpsons, and maybe something with my parents if I’m not doing anything that requires writing, which is rare because I write all the time (anything; homework, in my notebook, my book). I only have, probably, 1 hour of TV a day (depends on what days, though). Now I’m going to add Get Smart onto my TV lineup.

Get Smart was/is amazing. I’m having nearly 200 friends over tonight to watch some of the shows…

Would you believe 100 friends…?

50 friends…?

Would you believe the neighbor’s dog and a three-legged stray cat?

I told you not to tell me that.

Stinking cable compnay doesn’t carry TVland, so I missed the marathon…

…by THAT much…

lurker, hon… if you’d told me, I would have taped it for you and brought it up when I come up. I do get TV Land.

Ah the old “add a popular old comedy show to the cable channel’s lineup and introduce it with a marathon” trick eh?

I don’t get TVLand here, but come to think of it, I’m surprised the Comedy Channel doesn’t show it. I watch a lot of background TV at night while I’m surfing the web or just working on my computer (I’m a proud nerd), and Get Smart would be just perfect for that.

Missed it by that much!

(Sorry. Couldn’t resist. )

I was slightly disapointed they introduced children, but they did it in a way that wasn’t too sappy. The episode was quite funny. My favorite episode had to be where he was going undercover to take pictures of a Miss USA pagent and he falls over this display, gets up and says, “What just happened?” and a guy says, “You fell over.” Smart says, “Yes I did.”
