Mornin’ all! About 0630 and sunrise as I start to dribble. Yep dribble. It’s going to be one of those wet gray days. Isn’t actively raining now, but everything is wet and the temp’s a relatively cold 76/24. Brrr! NWS is cheerfully predicting showers & T-storms much of the day w lots of 1-2"/3-5cm rainfall, and some areas with double or maaybe triple that. Mild street flooding is expected in the usual suspects locales.
Which dampens (heh) my morale, douses any thought of a carwash, drowns my interest in biking or beaching, and leaves me with damned little to do when stuck alone. Seems like a great day for more indoor … sports.

Cool! I noticed Machias on the map but picked nearby Whiting as my representative last-place-in-the-US. It isn’t quite, but it’s close. Sorta like Flyboy’s town.
So yeah, you get the lived-two-corners award as well. 
A good friend of mine has a cabin on one of the many islands just off Freeport. He & wifey spend a bunch of each summer up / out there. I’ve been once and the nothingness there is really pretty. And the furriners locals talk real funny. Good times.
