So my Norelco razor is pretty much dead – it requires multiple passes to get the stubble on my face, and it won’t really do anything about the back of my head. I’m looking for a new razor, since this one is old enough that I don’t think I can really fix it. I reeeeally don’t want to use a regular razor, since electric razors are so much more convenient and eliminate the possibility of getting cut (which with acne is no small worry). Anybody got some suggestions?
This is better suited for In My Humble Opinion. Here, let me.

Whew, that was a close shave…

Get new heads for your current Norelco razor. They will make it like new again.
Yeah, but that’s a tad expensive: $40 from Norelco itself, and $15-30 on eBay. Does anyone have experience with blade sharpeners? Do they work?
??? Rather less expensive than a new razor, isn’t it?
I have no experience or knowledge of these, but my thought is that the design of Norelco blades would make for a very tedious process.
Not necessarily. If a new razor will last longer than new blades…
It’s an automated thing; you put the blade sharpener in the razor head, turn on the razor, and the abrasive surface sharpens the blades.
