Getting sticky stuff out of clothes

Haha…this should get some responses  So maybe now, seriously, someone can help me with this problem, somewhat similar to an earlier one today. I recently bought a great shirt with the logo of my university on it to wear to this fall’s football games. No sooner did I get it home than I discovered a problem. The area behind the logo (a circle about 3-4" in diameter) on the wrong side of the front of the shirt is incredibly sticky. I don’t know if it’s residue from a bad iron-on, a sticker, or what. But I tried washing it in the washer - and the detergent pellets stuck to the sticky spot. I tried washing it by hand in Woolite and scrubbing the spot - and I managed to at least get the residue sticking to the spot to peel off a couple of spots. Does anyone out there have any other good ideas? I appreciate it!

Call Monica Lewinski’s drycleaner. They will know. Also, there are several commercial products for dissolving almost anything sticky. Check the laundry detergent aisle of your local Wal-Mart. The stuff I’mm thinking of is called De-solv-it and works well on non-biological sticky spots.
