I’m not an avid fan of her show but the few times I do watch, she’s always wearing something that teases her viewers with a little bit of cleavage.
It leaves me wondering: Is she doing this on purpose? Is she trying to drum up a male demograph? Or is this simply a fashion choice she happens to like?
I don’t know. What do you guys think? (Personally, I find this to be a little bit distracting. In a good way of course.) TTIUWOP link
What are you suggesting?! Surely you can’t imagine that just because someone is on TV where their very career depends on making as many people as possible stare at you, that they would ever, EVER put shallow, superficial LOOKS above the all-important CONTENT of the show?! My stars!
Well, the only thing that gives me pause for thought is the fact that an overwhelming majority of Food networks’s viewers are women. So showing off the girls just to drum up male viewers seems rather dubious to me.
When Rachel Ray was first on TV, she wore high-necked T-shirts and stuff, but when Giada became popular, Rachel’s necklines went down. Alas, Rachel has no boobs, and even a push-up bra can’t create cleavage out of nothing. But she did try.
*Yes, I’m spelling her name the traditional way instead of the way she spells it. So sue me. *
Perhaps if she applied a little yeast, baking powder and water. Then she should stand there for 30 minutes under the hot lights and see if they would [del]swell[/del] rise on their own.
Her attempts at hiding the fact that she is over 50 are getting distracting. She has either heavily botoxed or puts the makeup on so heavy her face doesn’t move.
Cleavage display seems to be a fairly standard mode of dress these days. Giada’s rack is a pleasant one to contemplate but I certainly don’t see it as anything outside the boundaries of normal fashion. Caveat – I work on a university campus.
