Well, most of Inigo’s whacked-out OPs have a little surreal twist to them, a little oomph that gives people something to discuss. Yours lately have been kinda lazy.

I think it’s the laziness more than the inanity that bothers people so much. If you’re going to talk about yourself or an idea you’ve had, put some effort into it. Reference something. Make a joke. Do something to make it seem like you’re not just blogging and using everyone else as tools for your amusement.

Look, this is coming from a fellow attention whore. I also enjoy walking the fine line between pointless and lock-worthy. I also like having a wide audience read my thoughts and otherwise give me attention. Again, IMO the problem isn’t that your threads (lately) are pointless, but that they’re lazy and poorly put together.

Here’s the crux, right here. If you need some attention, look to real life for some. Giraffe should not have to provide you with negative attention and the rest of us are a bit tired of the jumping up and down “lookitme!” stuff.

Lobsang, I must admit that when I see a thread that you started, I generally don’t open it, because I’ve been disappointed so many times in the past by your mediocre threads.

BUT, I agree with you 100% that your thread should not have been closed, and it was very unfair of Giraffe. I think the subject of video blogging could have been interesting, and I would have liked to explore more about why you think you look and sound so bad, and people probably could have given you some tips and advice on how to do better. It was a completely valid topic.

I think it was majorly assholish for Giraffe to close your thread.

Shit has been slowing down so much here lately, we need all the threads we can get.
