I have the same question as Sunspace, as a friend at work will be leaving for an extended trip to Zimbabwe in a few days, and the tensions are, you understand, a bit of a concern. How is it there, really? Especially for a Westerner.
My guess is that it’s completely fine. We ourselves detected no tension, and we canoed with two British surgeons currently working in another part of Zimbabwe for a year who hadn’t had any problems. We also met a couple of white farmers in Zambia who had been displaced from Zimbabwe and from their stories they didn’t seem to feel that they had been in serious danger of harm. Primarily, they were frustrated at having their property and possessions taken.

Great business model, if it where me I would treat those who spent money like shit (for 11 months until time to renew of course), and those yet to spend money like gold, to get there money.
