What is your problem? You’ve been around here, supposedly, since 2002 and you don’t know about backfiring Pit threads? You yourself just said your dislike of the word was irrational. So why get your panties in a twist when everyone else, people who are quite familiar with the word after years of hearing this or that non-Bush person say it, chime in to tell you that you’re being a dipstick?
I’ll admit, things seemed to turn on you rather quickly and rather harshly, but that’s the way it goes in the Pit sometimes. Maybe it was just the wrong thread on the wrong night, who knows? But the point is, the thread backfired on you. Just suck it up, admit that the word is more acceptable and in more widespread usage than you thought, give everybody one last “Fuck you!” and get on with your life.
