Everything is okay, although we’ll have to replace the kitchen faucet head so it’ll fit the attachment. The two hoses are depending on whether you want to use hot or cold water. You just attach the appropriate hose. Changing faucets we can do. Awesome.

haze, I don’t see why you can’t wear your boots to work. They look very professional to me.
Well, I guess the problem is that they look odd unless I wear them with somewhat flared skirts above my knee, and I usually don’t wear above-the-knee skirts to work.
I dunno, when I first got them I thought they were fine, but the one night I wore them out I got so many cat-calls on the street I was startled (and no, those weren’t the only things I was wearing :p).
What to do for lunch? Hmmm.
I had a minor freakout because my turntable stopped working, but with the help of teh internets I figured out what was wrong and fixed it in 2 minutes. w00t!

I have a friend who teaches college English. She owns a pair of thigh high leather boots. During the first week of classes, she’ll wear them with leather pants tucked in and a black top. She has no trouble from the students the rest of the semester (and the one time she did, she brought her whip in to class - as it happens they were reading some swashbuckler or other)

You have a point there. Not much of an animal killer myself. About the biggest I’ve ever handled was a Palmeto bug (think giant roach with wings.)

I, too, have boots like that which I wear to work and they’re just fine. But I wear either mid-calf length or ankle length skirts, which is certainly different than above-the-knee skirts. Especially if you’re around horny college students!
Maybe I’ll try some longer skirts. I tried it with a skirt I have that hangs a bit below my knees, but the hemline was not quite below nor above the tops of my boots so it looked awkward. I usually don’t wear long skirts, though, because my height makes it difficult to pull off.
Oh, the chair thing. I was taking the picture in the mirror, but we don’t have a full-length mirror so the only way I could do this was to stand on a chair. Honest. 
I don’t think just-skimming-the-top-of-the-knee skirts is short enough to create insatiable lust in horny college students, Haze. You could wear skirts that length and that would give you a few inches between hem and boots, and still be quite modest. Or even middle-of-the-knee length, which is still conservative, IMO.
Oh, you Americans and your loose morals. In Korea, anything showing above the knee is considered scandalous. :dubious: No, seriously. I keep forgetting standards are different here.
I think the biggest problem is that those boots make me feel [del]slutty[/del] er, unprofessional. Although when winter rolls around I may change my mind in my desire for warmth.
I hate to burst your bubble, but boots like that (which I still loooooove anyway) are not exactly warm. And they’re really pretty bad to walk in in the snow.
But they look great so who cares?!

Home from the boat show - we were there way longer than I expected, but it was fun. And tiring.
I just tasted what my mom called a Texas margarita - equal parts of tequila, lime, and beer. It’s weird - I don’t much like it.
After we eat supper, I’m getting scalped. And tomorrow, we’re leaving early to head for home. Miss Brandy will be happy about that. So will I - we have a king size bed at home, but Mom’s guest bed is a double.
