Mr. Taters is out in the great room trying to learn to play Fall to Pieces by Velvet Revolver on his electric guitar. He just printed off the tableture for it.
This means I 'll have to sit in here because I can’t watch TV and listen to that too.
Sigh…
I am so glad I have the day off tomorrow. I do plan on being productive. No one will be home except for me! What BLISS!
I enjoy my quiet time, can’t you tell?
Other than a going out to breakfast, a couple of errands, some laundry, and some cooking, I haven’t done much but read the papers I missed earlier this week, and watched some bad TV.
I’ve got a gazillion channels, but there isn’t squat on them. I watched a couple decorating shows, and snippets of different movies. When Mr. Taters is done in the great room, I’ll see if anything good is coming on TV. I’m out of books, again, and I just don’t feel like sitting down with a book I’ve already read.
Fall is definitely here. We had horizontal rain today.
Another great day - weather wise and how it was spent. I got to my friend’s house around 12:30pm and we played board games until dinner showed up (chinese take out) at around 8:30pm.
Oh - and we did the shirt trick twice. We did it the first time (she started in black, changed to purple) with the few folks who showed up in the early part of the afternoon. Some more peopel showed up an hour or so later, so while we were playing Settlers with them, I “made her change” again, and she came out in the black leaf shirt. She’s a good actress. We’d planned that I’d ask nicely but she’d be all po’d about it - and I thought she really was!
Anyway - this has got to be one of the best weekends I’d had in a very long time. I wil crawl into bed soon and try to get some decent sleep.
Hey, Chi-Dopers - hear about the LaSalle marathon? Apparently it was cancelled halfway through because it was so hot. I think one person died.
**Taters ** - isn’t amazing how there are so many channels yet far too often none of them manage to have anything interesting? :dubious:
I just dyed my hair. It shows up better than the henna (Cloud Maiden used up the rest this week - she’s somewhere betwen blonde and brunette, so it shows up a lot better on her) but you still can’t see it unless the light is shining on it. I think it’s a bit uneven, and I might have to redo it again within the week to catch the bits I missed. I’m really not meticulous enough to be trusted with these sorts of tasks.
Howdy Y’all! I’m awake! I slept until eightish this evenin’, then went and did some shoppin’, got twuck gassed up and such. I bought some melatonin in case I need some sleepy time aid. Think I’ll take some in the mornin’ before sleepy bye just to see how it goes. If it gives me between 7 - 71/2 hours sleep I shall be a happy bear.
Haze you have a wunnnnnnnnnnnerrrrrrrful voice. Malvina Reynolds would be sooooooo proud!
Ok, Mumpers, Ima need entertainin’ so entertain me.
Oh and in just over an hour, the new MMP shall be up!
FIRST ON 10!!!
even tho I’ll probably be the last post of the week
eta: those of you with iTunes - check out the new self titled album by Jeanne Marie Boes (she’s one of my chorus mates) - she sings and plays piano and I think (but I’m not sure) she wrote all the songs on the album.
Wow! I’ve never heard of that happening with a marathon. My brother thought about running in that one (he’s planning to run in the Columbus one instead, which is in two weeks). Here’s the story from the Tribune. The comments make the race sound like a nightmare.
