Gizmo

The tears are welling up in my eyes. I’m truly sorry for your loss Czarcasm. I’m also sorry for your cat.

At this point in my life I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my Goalie. Thankfully he is a young 2 1/2.

Deepest sympathies from a fellow Doper and dog owner. And I’m sure they allow that sort of thing in Doggy Heaven, if they didn’t, it wouldn’t be Doggy Heaven.

I’m so sorry, Czar.

I still dream about old Billy, & he’s been gone since the 80’s. :frowning:

What a cool name for a dog!

I’m sorry for your loss, Czarcasm.

Sorry about the loss of your long time pet.

However, if your cat wants compnay, I’ll e-mail you my worthless wretch of a cat.

You have my sympathies, Czarcasm. When my pal Loki died, I was so distraught I’ve refused all offers of a new furry friend since. You are not alone.

Peace, brother

Ummm…That last post (Den Mum’s) was actually me, operating in dimwit mode again. But I’m sure my wife sends her sympathies also.

Much sympathy dude, it’s never easy. I miss my Scout as well and she’s been gone 4 years now.

So sorry for your loss. :frowning:
That’s sad about the kitty too. Must be lonely. Maybe some heavy duty snuggling would make you both feel better?

When/if you feel like it, may we see pics of this wonder dog? Sounds like a real cutey!

:frowning: Sorry for your loss. I lost my first dog Topper almost 5 years ago, and I still feel sad about it. Gizmo lived to be an old dog, and it sounds like he went very peaceful, by his food and companion, lying on the cool floor. Sounds like the best way to go. It’s really hard to lose a pet, but he knows you loved him, and now you have a little dog watching over you.

Aw, Czarcasm, I’m so sorry. :frowning:

FWIW, every time I lose a dog I plant a dogwood tree over the grave. It’s nice, all these years later, to see them still growing and blooming.
I had a Quaker Parrot named Gizmo.

Sorry to hear about it, Czarcasm, but that low-key but eloquent tribute is just what I’d expect from you. The next time I’m able to make it to a Portland area Dopefest, I’ll host (and hoist) a cold one in Gizmo’s honor.

Oh man, I’m sorry about your (and the cat’s) loss. It’s always painful to lose a good pet–I still miss my cat who died a dozen years ago.

It’s weird getting up in the middle of the night to let out the dog you no longer have. The cat has taken to following us around the house, and insists on sleeping on my stomach. We’re coping with it, though, and we thank all of you for your kind and thoughtful posts.

So sorry for your loss, Czarcasm , a Good Dog is such a wonderful friend and it is very hard when they leave us.

I still miss my Good Dog, Dollar. I can see his resting place out of my window and it comforts me.

Somehow I knew that this thread would be a sad one.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. No matter what ever happens in your life from here, you’ll know that you loved and were loved by a Great Dog.

That’s important.

My condolences to you and your family, Czarcasm.

I am sorry to hear about your beloved pet. :frowning:
