Glasnost Mafia

Fantastic! I can’t say I have contributed much (if at all) to town’s ass-kicking so far, but I am ready for the vanilla/not vanilla claim and then some scum hunting.

What we have:
6 confirmables
7 unknown

Case 1: scum all claim vanilla. 6 confirmed 7 unknown. we lynch unknown, vig kills unknown, scum kill confirmed (worst case Cop).
5 confirmed 5 unknown - we lynch unknown, doc protects Vig, vig kills unknown, scum kill doc
4 confirmed 3 unknown - we lynch unknown, vig dies
3 confirmed 2 unknown
2 confirmed 1 unknown - we lynch unknown and Town Wins.

Case 2: 1 scum claims power, one scum claims vanilla. I thought about this some more. The only power scum could claim is Doc. If they claim Vig, the real vig will kill scum with 100% accuracy (we lynch neither). and we’re back to case 1 only better. If they claim Doc, we happily let BOTH live and use either the Vig or Cop to gain ground on the scum because if they try to kill the real Doc, we know who to lynch the very next Day.

Case 3: scum claim 2 powers - 4 unknowns 9 confirmed - Town wins.

I think a mass claim wins it.
Special Ed should NOT claim though until all others have.

Also. Scum should resign.

i be like the ice cream. vanilla.

I can’t believe how weird this game is going. I suppose something like this is bound to happen from a statistical point of view, but playing it is truly bizarre.

The Dead:
Pleonast - scum roleblocker
Tom Scud - Vanilla Town
Drain Bead - 3rd party bomber
Septimus - Vanilla Town
Wolverine - Town Jailer
Suburban Plankton - Scum Sleeper
pedescribe - Scum Godfather
Astral Rejection - Vanilla Town

That’s 4 dead non-Town to 4 dead Town. That’s an unbelievable ratio!

…pretty sure that Plankton’s not going to be claiming

sachertorte, your numbers are off; there are 15 alive and not 13 as your analysis assumes.

I will participate in the vanilla/not-vanilla claim thing if the Town has decided that’s the way to go. However, if it’s only going to be the Doctor and the Masons claiming non-Vanilla, we: (1) risk having Mental Guy waste another investigation toMorrow on the Vig (as he wasted one last Night on special ed), which would be unfortunate; and (2) really expose the Doctor. The Masons probably haven’t voted for each other much, if at all. If the Doc has voted for any of the Masons, the Doctor is going to stand out like a sore thumb to the Scum.

Obviously, with ed investigated my primary suspect is no longer a suspect. Plan B right now is going to be Manwich. Off to read.

No. The number of alive players is 13. We started with 21. 8 are dead. 13 alive.

If you are looking at the claim list, numbers 5 and 6 are missing.

I think we are in full claim territory. See analysis above.

Whoops, no, I’m wrong and sach is right. I was going by the numbering in Mahaloth’s list, not noticing that some numbers were missing!

Also, sach’s logic looks pretty compelling. I’m on board for a mass claim.

Glad people are getting on-board the claim train, as it has already left the station. :stuck_out_tongue:

Frankly, with a Mass FULL claim on the table, I don’t think order matters anymore. I primarily wanted an order so that we could give the Vig some cover in a vanilla/non-vanilla.

With the exception of Special Ed. I really don’t care what the order is.

Actually, I fully expect scum to realize that they can’t possibly win. Maybe when I wake up in the morning.

From mahaloth’s list (updated, fixed and re-numbered):

**1. Specialed Not Vanilla
2. Peeker Vanilla
3. Manwich
4. Gadarene
5. OneandOnly
6. CometotheDarkside
7. Zeriel
8. Storyteller
9. Idle
10. Mental Not Vanilla and not sure why he’s on this list
11. Mahaloth Not Vanilla and not sure why he put himself on his own list
12. Sacher Vanilla
** 13. Guiri

Ok good. I’m Vanilla.

I am also vanilla.

From mahaloth’s list (updated, fixed and re-numbered):

**1. Specialed Not Vanilla
2. Peeker Vanilla
3. Manwich
4. Gadarene
5. OneandOnly
6. CometotheDarkside Vanilla
7. Zeriel
8. Storyteller Vanilla
9. Idle
10. Mental Not Vanilla and not sure why he’s on this list
11. Mahaloth Not Vanilla and not sure why he put himself on his own list
12. Sacher Vanilla
** 13. Guiri

Oh and it’s actually much worse for the scum than I thought. I was assuming a dead cop as the worst case scenario for Town, but that isn’t possible. The Doc will protect the cop to ensure another investigation (of a Vanilla).

Stick a fork in this sucker.

From mahaloth’s list (updated, fixed and re-numbered):

**Not Vanilla:
Special ed
Mental Guy
Mahaloth

Vanilla:
Peeker
Cookies
Storyteller
Sachertorte

Not claimed: (3 Not Vanilla and 3 Vanilla)
Manwich
Gadarene
OneandOnly
Zeriel
Idle
****Guiri

**Yeah, even if the Vanilla pool is 7, the Vig will be able to kill one of them toNight and Mental Guy will get at least 1 investigation. As long as they don’t target the same person, we’ll keep the confirmed pool the same size (1 NightKill and 1 investigation) and reduce the unconfirmed pool by 2 (lynch and Vig).

Is it still best if the Vig doesn’t claim? Someone do the maths, please

We need to coordinate the cop’s action though, to make sure the Vig doesn’t kill that person. Should be reasonable though.

Actually we reduce the unconfirmed pool by 3 this round. 1 lynch, 1 vig, and 1 investigation. The cop is SUPERPOWERFUL now as not only does he reduce the unconfirmed pool, but he increases the confirmed pool by 1 as well.

No. The Vig should claim Vig. We don’t want the cop to investigate the Vig.
And I did the math. All my babbling this evening was assuming a full mass claim.

OK, claim time:

I am vanilla.

BOOO!!!
