Glee 1/31: Michael

The show is increasingly coming around to answer the question “What if Rachel Maddow, Tyler Perry, and Michael Landon had written JOANIE LOVES CHACHI?” Luckily it has sporadically good music and consistently good eye candy.

Maybe, but I did like that they had at least one character who claimed not to “get” him. I did not like that this caused the other characters to look at her as if she had lobsters crawling out of her ears.

Those cello guys were amazing. That whole scene and the one where Kurt gets his letter were the only good parts of the episode. The rest was beyond ridiculous.

Also, does anyone else think Rachel’s line about “I’ve had a funny feeling in my stomach all week” is hinting at a pregnancy plot?

sure he does… or did… before the sacrifice.
Only bright side to this episode was learning that 2cellos exists. Neat.
Oh, and the Artie/Mike Scream video was pretty cool, but largely irrelevant.

Not good.

If you liked the Glee version, you’ll LOVE the one on youtube.

You mean the bowstrings? That’s pretty much an unavoidable consequence of playing rock music on a bowed string instrument. I saw Ashley MacIsaac live a few times and he’d typically go through half a dozen bows per show (sometimes throwing the spent ones into the crowd as other bands might throw a pick or drumstick)
