ETA: I re-watched the whole episode again this weekend, and when Karofsky terrifies Kurt at his locker, that was truly chilling. I could really sympathize with Kurt having a hard time saying, “Well, he scared me, then took my wedding toppers, you know?” and not being able to describe exactly why that was so awful (even if he had told them about the unwanted kiss). Karofsky is one messed-up kid.
Probably really minor, but… was anybody kind of irked when Finn sings “Girl you’re amazing” to Kurt? It would have been so easy to change that to “Kurt you’re amazing”. Earlier when he said that line he was looking at his mom, but he sings it while dancing with and looking at Kurt as well.
I found that whole sequence just plain weird.
If you want minor nitpicks it was a little odd that Kurt didn’t invite Blaine. Then again Kurt’s still insisting that he’s just a boy who’s a friend, not his boyfriend. 
I actually mentioned that to my husband; I will also go with your explanation. 
They did say the Dalton School is in Westerville. That really isn’t all that close to Lima, especially for a teenager with no car.
