Went to a virtual project management conference last week and the keynote was delivered by the Daily Show head writer. The strippers come in between 2-2:30 during the day for the staff. Thursday is male stripper day. At least, this is what I recall. But its a perk for the staff, not something for their audience. He had it in the project plan for the day and everything, it must be true.

Mainly because your garden variety morning zoo shock jocks are pretty much seen exactly for what they are, even by their fans - adolescent jerkoffs whose main job is to crack jokes and play juvenile pranks during rush hour. They don’t style themselves great thinkers, and most importantly they are not trying to make political statements. In fact the only time most of them talk about politics is when they’re making fun of the latest Washington sex scandal or gaffe by some prominent politician.
Beck on the other hand has millions of fans who do consider him a great thinker and take his theatrics and scare tactics seriously, in the process dragging down the political discourse in this country big time.
My girlfriend’s redneck father, for one. He’s been known to take notes during the Glenn Beck show. Ironically, he has the time to do this because he’s voluntarily unemployed.
