Can someone explain how to get to my gmail emails once logged in? Upon logging in, I come to a screen with a bunch of things to click on to enhance my security settings or see my latest activity (on the web) and so on. I just want to read my emails! Is that asking too much?

You just click past those things. They’re not barriers, just distractions along the way. Once you’ve read your mail, you may want to revisit security settings so that doesn’t keep getting in the way.
