I’m sure some are. Not only to sell, but as personal addresses as well. I’d like to have one for business (using my real name) and one for online life (using my screenname, for instance).

Not as far as I can tell, and I’ve just spent upwards of, oooh, twenty minutes trying. I think they’ll introduce pop3 later so maybe you’ll be able to get forwarding then too, but to be honest I’d sooner forward all my other accounts to gmail, cos then I’d have an archive of all my messages.
Sadly fish doesn’t do forwarding either, and yahoo only lets me have one forwarding address, and I need to access stuff via pop3 too. So it’s not all that practical just now. I suppose I can just manually forward stuff I think is worth keeping.
Yeah, that’s what I meant, forwarding FROM other accounts TO gmail, but I guess that would really depend on the other accounts. I don’t know much about email…
I just sent an email to the one account I have that is prepared to forward to multiple addresses. And it showed up on gmail. So the answer is “yes”.
Be a bit of a missed opportunity if they didn’t support it, really.
In other news, the only way to be sure your email is secure is not to put sensitive information in there. Anybody who sends sensitive info across an email system like this is asking for trouble. Here’s hoping the terrorists are stupid. In the case of an emergency situation, if the government CAN read our email, they WILL read our email, surely?
