If you believe in destiny: My dad, a huge Giants fan, passed away in 2007. During the postseason following his death, the Giants went on their miracle run that culminated in their SB 42 victory. My whole family is convinced they won it for him.
My mom passed away last February. This one is for her.
What the heck. I am not a Giants fan per se, but I live in Giant’s fan country and I like a bandwagon as much as anyone. Go Giants!
I hope they both lose.
Curious, what team do you root for? I don’t know many Jet fans that hate the **Giants **and vice-versa and usually Cowboys & Eagles fans don’t care much about the Pats but some people just really hate the Pats and Belichick.
I hope this is not taken as a threadshit, but it seems silly to start a separate Pats thread:

Even though they stole the game from Packers I’m rooting for the Giants simply because I like their game. And nobody likes Patriots (except ShadowFacts, obviously).
I’ve never watched the Superbowl before, but I’ll be at a party tonight, and I’m rooting for the fellows from Jötunheimr.
Holy CRAP! That’s some cake/cupcake combo! Get some insulin on hand for that. 
This is gonna be a hell of a game. I don’t think either team will lead by more than a touchdown at any point.
BUT… as far as the outcome, since I’m an Eagle fan, I am hoping that influenza, gout, syphilis and chronic diarrhea find their way into the Giants’ locker room. Hey, I’m not wishing for anything fatal!
I disagree with the premise of this thread.
As a rule, Jets fans hate the Giants. Wouldn’t you? Compare the life of football fandom for any Jet fan under the age of 50, and then consider what they’re subjected to in the local home team media market. Jets can’t even get to a Superbowl, much less win one. But you’re now seeing the Giants make it to their 5th, trying for a 4th win.
If I were a primary Jets fan I’d hate the Giants too.
