I was so happy to learn that I didn’t leave those entertaining lil assholes, we have them here as well. I do miss the Thrashers, though. They were even bigger assholes, LOL!
So…back to the trees. The governor has decreed the Chestnut trees to be safe and is making plans to transplant the entire grove somewhere more suitable.
If you wanna follow along at home, it is the Clements State Tree Nursery, just down the road from Mark Twain’s boyhood summer home.
In other news, it is buck season (deer have no natural predators in WV, its always some kinda deer season here) and a couple of licensed hunters from the city confused a bulldozer with a buck and shot the heck out of it. The dozer driver must have gotten confused himself because he had no business dozing his way to the grove. No blood was shed and the dozer’s tank wasn’t hit so no diesel got spilled.
It is a lot of fun, you get four little drinks and can pick which one to sip as desired. There was one place in AZ that did it but mostly booze flights were just wine, whiskey or tequila.
Oh my gosh, I’m so sad that we can’t be friends anymore!
I do agree with you about the “italian loafs” and haven’t looked for baguettes in a long time. Not since I found ciabatta rolls because I love them so much more!
Now I want one of those long slim Italian loaves we used to get. Chewy crust and decently squishy bread.
So I think I’m going to do laundry and stuff tonight in case I need to join Harry in jail tomorrow. Folks are getting riled up and I am easily bad influenced. Have great nights everyone.
