My wife watches Gossip Girl while I read or work or whatever, it’s her thing,not mine. Or at least that’s the way it was, but slowly I started paying more attention and getting caught up in the stupid storylines and even reminding my wife of things that happened. before I knew it I wasn’t pretending to work and just straight watching.

But I swear it is not the kind of show I like, I mean, right? It is full of idiocy and unlikable people and I don’t really care about what spoiled rich people do or think. So what is it, why do I want to watch this show and know what is happening between Dan and Blair, and will Serena forgive her father and who is Chuck’s dad?

Oh God, help me!

I watched it with my daughter in a fruitless attempt to bond. very guilty pleasure. The guy who plays Chuck has a lot of charisma, which is often what hooks me on a tv show.

I still watch, but it’s mostly inertia, and Chace Crawford being nice to look at, at this point. The first couple of seasons were a lot better than the last two.
