I’m another one of those crazy Philly sports people, but I’m not too torn up about this, which surprises even me, quite frankly. The 1993 Series left me devastated, but this one doesn’t hurt as much, for some reason. What might kill me dead is a failure to re-sign Aaron Rowand, but somehow the pain of the sweep was dulled by the Cubs being swept first. And since I couldn’t give a turd about the NL West, and that is all that is left, I am now free to cheer unabashedly for the Red Sox. Silver lining and whatnot.
My apologies. I forgot all about that chokejob. I was thinking of the previous chokejobs that the Phillies are so famous for.
