Gods sabbath day SAVED!

Well, im thinkin He must be a baseball fan as the very 1st words of His book read “in the big inning”

Everyones entitled to their own opinion, even if its wrong. I will not argue ones opinion. You may believe what you wish to believe but i know the bible was written by the inspiration of God.

That’s the thing. You know. You know it, saying it as if it were a statement of fact. I say that there’s no way you can know, especially if you’re familiar with how the Bible was put together - by men, working over hundreds of years.

The only proof you have is no proof, it’s a proof that can be claimed by every other believer in every other holy book. Something is either true or not, two contradictory things cannot be both true.

So God’s executive VPs are all gay?

Right, and all he’s got on his side is history and a rational interpretation of the text supported by scholars. You’ve got…

help me out here…

Explains a few things about the loyalty Tim Gunn inspires, doesn’t it?

What evidence do you have for this assertion?

Matthew. Mark. Luke. John. Paul. James. Anyone who had much of anything to say about what He thought and taught seems prettyunanimous in saying that.

Look at proper angels, with their (somewhat)-masculine features. Google Marlee Matlin and check out some of the more-fetching pics. Then ask yourself if a GREATER God would make his lieutenants all look like some pretty boys, or if he were quite a bit more hetero.

And what about the second John, of Patmos, considered by many to NOT be the evangelical John? And you are tossing aside pretty cavalierly the Gospels of St Timothy and St Peter, especially since the latter walked with Jesus.

No man could have written this book

MATT.18 [11] For the Son of man is come to SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST. [12] How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?[13] And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

The Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

MATT.15 [22] And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.[23] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.[24] But he answered and said, I AM NOT SENT BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP of the house of Israel.

I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel

JER.50 [4] In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.[5] They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in A PERPETUAL COVENANT that shall not be forgotten.[6] MY PEOPLE HATH BEEN LOST SHEEP: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THEIR RESTINGPLACE.

My people hath been lost sheep
they have forgotten their restingplace (they sure have)
let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten (remember the…)

Well, In Jeremiah we can find the sheep that Jesus came for. The remnant of the lost 10 tribes of the children of Israel ! Have the many been decieved, just as the new testament says. The sabbath rest has been forgotten, but as you can see, the lost sheep that Jesus came for will return to the “perpetual covenant” and keep Gods sabbath day. Aint it outstanding how the Word of God all comes together. In Jer.50 you find the words “they have forgotten their restingplace” and the 4th commandment begins with “remember the sabbath”.

EXODUS 31[15] Six days may work be done; but in THE SEVENTH IS THE SABBATH of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a PERPETUAL COVENANT.[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

This is really great Hamster King. If you have a KJV bible you will find the words “PERPETUAL COVENANT” only in these 2 scriptures. Jer. 50 and Exodus 31. Exodus 31 speaks of the sabbath as a “perpetual covenant” and Jer.50 speaks of that “perpetual covenant” being forgotten by His people. That is not some billion to one coincidence. Now Hamster King if you were to ask any of the sunday mournin go to church people about these scriptures, the “many” wouldnt have a clue what you were talking about (just as the new testament said would happen). The above scriptures point out that Jesus came to bring His lost sheep back to the fold by bringing them back to His 4th commandment

Correct. It was written by committee.

[Eowen] I am no man![/Eowen]

On a serious note, this is exactly the argument that Muslims use to prove that the Quran was written by G-d. But you haven’t backed up your previous assertion with facts. You’ve just made another unsupported assertion.

Why could no man have written this book?

Prove that no man could have written this book.

Yes Mr K i do know it. Theres no doubt in my mind that the bible was written by the inspiration of God. If you were to ask me if i thought that i was going to the kingdom (the 1000 yr period of rest)…i would say probably not.

How do you know? As I asked kanicbird earlier, there are Muslims who have equal claim to know the mind of God as you do.

They claim that the Koran is the last word of God based on text contained in it, including things like ‘fulfilling of prophecy’ and that it is a completely unaltered word passed down. They also claim to know for a fact that their god is the god of the Koran, for they have ‘felt’ him through personal experience.

Why should I take your word over that of the Muslim? Or the Jew? Or the Hindu?

The Bible was definitely written by men. If not, he evidently made it look as if it was. Here’s a very brief recount of the authors of various books (you realise it’s a collection of books, right?).

I can also point to the Council of Nicea (vital for establishing early Christian doctrine, clarifying the trinity and in conjunction with the First Council of Constantinople stamping out Arianism) and Council of Rome and Council of Carthage (vital for establishing the Biblical canon - where this fella decided what should and shouldn’t be in the Bible). Later on they also agreed what should and shouldn’t be in it. The stuff they (men) rejected for various reasons is called the Apocrypha.

Then you have all the translation issues, from Jerome to King James.

Why not?

I suppose it wouldnt matter if i shown you scriptures that say christmas and easter are as abominations to God. That knowledged would be greatly increased in the last days. That in the last days Jerusalem would be a war zone. Youse have already made it clear that it doesnt matter that scripture had prophecied the course the sabbath would take. That the so called followers of Christ would actually follow the practices of baal. That most so called believers cant count to 3. Where He explains the evilutionist are of target. It really dont matter what i show you out of the scriptures. It doesnt really matter. Its a matter of faith i suppose.

The what?!

Please do point to these scriptures. More out of interest, really. Your scriptures hold no authority over me, nor should they over you. Think for yourself, study where this stuff came from and don’t take anything at face value. Especially Bronze Age mythology and moral values.

You bolded the evilutionist so i guess ill start there. I goofed! In my mind i was thinking about those who believe the earth was older than 6 thousand years. Not the religion of Darwinism, although…both are covered because 6 thousand years is not a long enough time for us to become a monkeys uncle.

GEN.1 [9] AND GOD SAID, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.[10] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

It was by the WORD (Jesus) of God that the earth was created

2 PETER [3] Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [4]And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.[5] For this THEY WILLINGLY ARE IGNORANT of, that BY THE WORD OF GOD the HEAVENS WERE OF OLD, AND THE EARTH standing out of the water and in the water:

At the time God spoke the WORD He created the heavens and the earth to look to be old. So why would God have made the heavens and the earth to appear older than they actually were at the time of creation? Was He trying to trick us? Do ya suppose it could simply come down to a matter of faith? Those with faith in God believe that God created the heavens and the earth just as the spoken Word says, even though the evidence for this is not seen.

HEBREWS 11 [1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.[2] For by it the elders obtained a good report.[3] THROUGH FAITH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD, SO THAT THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE OF THINGS WHICH DO APPEAR.

Why is this found in scripture written 2 thousand years ago? It really does comes down to faith. You wont be able to prove that God created the heavens and the earth (as the Word says) through science or in a debate. Common sense? Yeah. Go outside on a clear night. Look up. Think. If then you don’t understand…you dont understand.

Daniel 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and **knowledge shall be increased. **
