**FCD **came home from work early. He’s got some congestion going and it’s hard to say whether it’s from inhaling boat bottom dust (he wore a mask, but not a respirator) or if he got what I had, or a combination. Anyway, he’s crashed on the couch, and the doggies are nagging me about dinner. We’re enjoying a lovely day again, but it’s going to get cold again tonight. I’ve got daffodils blooming, the tulips are poking up, and I can see yellow on the forsythia
Dunno what I’m going to do for dinner. I’m kinda in the mood for Bad Chinese…
We’re having stuffed peppers for dinner. And Rice A Roni I think 'cause I saw it at the store a couple weeks ago and just had to buy it. I haven’t had that in years. Probably since I was ~10 so about 20 years! Mmmmmmm salty, chemically goodness.
Finished my midterm. I think I did well on it - it was pretty easy (although you had to study for it). We got our first assignment back too - I got an A. So I’m hopeful.
ick, ick ick… I just helped out an associate by configuring a printer for them. Seems their PC got borked last week and had to be re-imaged. Whoever did the image didn’t set up a printer for them. So, I was able to get them up and printing in less time than they probably would have spent on hold with the helpdesk, nevermind how many days it would take for someone to come by and set it up. But… ICK! The guy really needs to clean his keyboard, mouse, monitor and desk once in a while. I had an overwhelming desire to scrub my hands once I finished up.
Ugh - yeah, I’ve used keyboards that required a HAZMAT suit. It was really obvious when all keyboards were ivory. Now that they’re black at work, it’s not as noticeable. Still, ick!
Back from Bad Chinese. It wasn’t all that great, but I didn’t have to cook or do dishes, so yay!
In for the evening. Windows closed because it’s getting chilly. Late winter returns tomorrow, with rain. Then Spring again on Weds, with rain. Then it gets chilly again. How annoying!!
Didn’t have time to post this morning due to DST shock. As much as I like having it be light for much longer, I HATE having to get up in the middle of the night all of a sudden.

I just saw Watchmen with Complicated Roommate. LOVED IT. Loved it loved it loved it. Loved Dr. Manhattan, Rorshach, Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, The Comedian, hated Ozymandias. HATED HIM. Hate hate hate.

The drinking age thing is dumb. If one is old enough to vote and die serving his or her country, one is old enough to drink.

I’ve already napped some this evening; the loss of that hour (of sleep no less!) is still affecting me. It’s going to be a few days before I get used to waking up and going out in complete dark again. Guess it will be light again in a few weeks, that time of the a.m.
Ever gotten into one of those arguments with someone who isn’t going to change their position and you know you’re not going to change yours? This is why I stay out of Great Debates, btw. Well, I got into one on another forum I visit occasionally. It was on outsourcing. I’ll only say that I’m against it. I probably shouldn’t say anything further, I’m still worked up about it. Frankly, it’s big business looking out for itself, finding the least expensive methods to produce their goods. Hah, yes, that’s what they’re supposed to do, I guess. I’m not really sure, because … well, I never did understand Economics. LOL Okay, so I’m probably not the best person to argue this. And yes, see – I am still worked up about it.
Sad news: the kitty that my Mountain Friend was keeping for me while I finished up down here died. She got run over by a car. She’s not going to nuzzle me when I go up there this weekend.

I’m trying to come up with a tag line for my comic, Up at Silvercats and I figured I’d ask the wonder Mumpers (the rest of you can just be quiet. =^_^=).
The characters are Silverkitty (a more snarky crazier more cuckoolander version of myself), Felino (a more or less stereotypical guy - likes to drink, will hit on any women who vaguely meets his standards), and Mya-chan (probably the only one with customer service skills. She’s sweet and polite.) It’s mostly set in Silverkitty’s Treehouse Pub. Yes, she built a bar in a tree. Hundreds of feet off the ground. It’s okay though, the walkway has high rails. So, it’s them dealing with each other and the customers. The bar has every drink you could ever want (including blood-wine, Romulan Ale, Pan-Galactic Gargleblasters, etc), plus a ‘holographic harem’ which can give you any fantasy you want (not necessarily just sex. It’s like a holodeck)
The taglines I’ve thought up are:
-We encourage underage drinking
Open until midnight
I don’t drink it, I just sell it
Nobody makes you come
Girls, boys, underage drinking. Note: No romance.
We’re furry. So?
We eat debtors.
Hint: Don’t buy beer the day before the truck comes. (This is a reference to one comic. As far as I’m concerned beer is nasty. So they ended up running out and the implication is that Silverkitty was selling piss. Like, literally.)

ReboSon came over last night and I let him borrow my flash drive for drafting (AutoCad) school. He starts next week - it was delayed a week for spring break.
We also had some yummy Chicken (N.O.)Tarragon with Red Wine. Super easy dish. I think it’s in the blog already.
